Transplanting teens

Hello let me share my issue.
I purchase some beautiful teens ( Alien ET and Cherry Chemdawg), they are planted in 1 gallon pots. I grow in Bato buckets with 4 " net pots. The 1 gallon pots are larger than the net pots so I carefully removed as much soil as I could, but the roots ( they were root bound ) I trimmed off the bottom of the roots. I set my top feed irrigation to match the light schedule, (18-6), and the rez level is just low the net pots. That was two days ago, now I have droopy leaves like over watering. Question is should I just wait and see, or change my watering schedule to 15 on 15 minutes off, or what would you do?

Have they got roots growing thru the net pots yet? Maybe try hand watering some of the nutes they are in if not. I too suspect shock and if the leaves are drying them mist them good a couple times/day making sure to get under the leaves where they can soak up a bit of water. Had one big plant revegging in DWC that did that when I finally changed nutes. Thought it was a goner for sure but it came back good.

Good luck.

I know they are crowded, this is just a temporary location. until my other room frees up.
There was A BIG OLE root ball that I'm worried about, will they die or just sprout new roots
Thanks for the help CurtO

They definitely looked heat stressed so I'd back off the light for a while until they get roots established. Could very well be that they just can't get enough water into the leaves with a poor root system that needs a week to regenerate and get some new feeder roots happening to pull up more water.

The curling edges of the leaves indicates that they are trying to cool down. Getting your humidity up higher than normal can help the plant by reducing it's need for water too. The drier the air the more water it needs.

I use a LED COB lights, so there is no heat and irrigate 18 hrs a day with top feed. RH is 52% PPM is 350
I did add a tablespoon of Cal-Mag today

Do I understand correctly that they came as tall clones in soil ?
You removed all the soil?
What is your new medium?

OK.
Then I think it has to do with the fact that the roots in soil develop differently than roots in hydro.
The structure is different. The hairs are different.
Because you now have them in hydro, the roots need time to adjust.

At least, that is my opinion and what I think is at least one of the reasons.
Your roots can not absorb enough water and/or DO.

I think if given some time, they will be ok.
