Water pump size in RDWC

Hi, I have an 8 x 20 litre pot system that came with a water pump size of 4000 litres/h,, when cleaning the filter I found a few small roots,
My question is , is this pump too powerful? C

Could it cause damage to the roots having such a powerful water flow ?

So thats 1000gph,ya a little big.What does your water feed lines look like?

20 litre pots are connected with 4 inch piping

No way thats only 23lph thats matching the rush dwc systems and there thiving good.

Roots break off period some do snap in current as they bend wrong simple.
It happens aslong as ur roots are white an not inside your lines ur fine.

Id be worried if u didnt find any u should see what my inline filter colects in a week
