Wondering , after seeing all the advertising of Bud bulking / hardeners , is there one that really works ?
Or is it about the soil , lights , genetics , environment ?

It's all about lights, genetics, and environment. All that other stuff is just highly marketed nonsense targeted at growers that can't grow or are new to growing. A good grower doesn't need any of those hyped products. Good soil, sunlight, rain. is all a plant needs to reach it's full potential.

Proper feeding and a good environment will give you better buds than any enhancers or snake oil.

If you grow, for example, some low-THC hemp strain, it doesn't matter how much money you spend on the latest marketed products etc ... the end result will still be mediocre. On the other hand, if you start with good genetics, you can be one of the world's worst gardeners yet still end up with some good bud.

I find it quite sad though that you rely on nutes "and enhancers" to turn what you say is "crud" into a good product. Why not just start with good genetics???
some people do not have good access to good seed banks so u work with what u got and work on improving that my bag seeds breed over will kill some 50-70 seeds I can pretty much lie about what strain it is and people buy it and keep coming back so why not ? Shit I just make up names and people buy it

quality cannabis seeds are illegal here, but that never stopped me getting them, and when you grow them out and experience an amazing product, it's pretty easy to tell it's the real deal (eg. yes, this C99 tastes like pineapple, Blueberry literally tastes like blueberry etc)
And btw, there are NO cannabis nutrients that will give your C99 a pineapple taste, or your Blueberry a blueberry taste - it is purely genetic.

wait, what ? I read online, not here if.course, that strawberry cough started out from og kush that someone fed strawberries that they ran through a ninja food processor ..
lol, I kid, I kid, I agree with pretty much everyone else, start with the best genetics you can get your hands on, provide the optimal grow environment, lights, temps, rh, etc etc and.you should end up with a quality product.

saying that though, sometimes it might take a couple of grows of the same strain to learn what it's likes and.dislikes are in order to get the best results. not too say you can't pop a few beans and come out with a winner, just some strains can be finickier than others and may require a bit of a learning curve

Yes of course if you're growing from seeds you'll typically need to pop a few to find the desired pheno, but you'll have a lot better chance of finding that quality pheno if you start with seeds from reputably good genetics :)

As far as maximizing bud size potential?

In an 8 weeks flowering strain, Tissue Analysis says its beneficial to gave a boost of MPK... 0-52-34 in weeks 2.5-4, and then a Magnesium/Sulfur Boost in weeks 5-6, and then cut back nutrients in weeks 7-8, but do not completely cut of nutrients.

Flushng is a myth, as is cutting Nitrogen in flowering. Weed needs an ever increasing amount of Base Fert all the way up until the 6th week in 8 weeks flowering strain.
Weed also like 2x the amount of Potassium vs either Nitrogen, or Potassium. Some strains also benefit from extra Iron, but isn't the rule.

The only real bud enhancer I can vouch for, is my lighter.

I'm of the belief, that balanced nutrition allows for optimal growth.
I also believe that feeding is greatly strain dependant, even pheotypical difference can have great variance.
It took me years of growing the same cut, to really find her absolute preferences.

I have heard that flushing a myth in soil and/or organic grows, but is necessary for hydro or chemical fertilizers. Something about crystallizing minerals on the roots? I'm curious if there's any truth to that or just an old growers tale?
