thermal imaging technology VS water cooled lamps (1000w)

from what i understand a arc light is inside of all lights even 60w lights
so who are they to say that i dont have 12 60w lights in my basement

just like hellraizer said the arc gets hot yah but very little heat if any heat right

FLIR won't see the heat until you got lots of watts, 5000 watts plus to get busted by FLIR. FLIR does not see through walls. 600 watt HPS is the most efficient light.

i want to grow with 3 aeroflo 60extended 120 sites each = 360 plants and 12 1000w hp sodium should do the job but all would be water cooled

well i want a 1000w water lamp i am really thinking of up grading my grow site to 12 units of aeroflo 60 extended and run 4 1000 watts each i have a 12000 dollar generator that runs off of propane its one of the house generator so i dont have to have a high electric bill

well by reading the threads one dude yield 5.5 with sixy plants i will have 12 aeroflo 60 extended thats 132 pounds minimum

how cool is a air cool lamp i see some ppl say water cool is about 80 degrees

get a grip bro. doesnt matter how many plants you have, no way in hell will you yield anywhere close to 132 pounds with only 4 1000 watters. unless your saying you will run 4 1000 watters per aeroflow unit? if thats true, then thats over 48 lights...you better be willing to spend many thousands on all the LP to run that many watts for 3 months...good luck...may the force be with you...

they run about the same temp at the glass. both are warm to the touch. i remember at my hydro shop they had both of these lights set up and running, and there wasnt a significant temperature difference between the two. i could touch both of the hoods, and they were just slightly warm. you have to keep in mind though, with 48 water cooled lights, you would need a reservoir that was REALLY REALLY fucking big. like 5000 gallons or something....another thing about water cooled lights is that the water blocks out/filters alot of the red light that plants use for flowering....not to mention they cost around 400 dollars a piece....i hope you are a millionaire...

around 10,000 lol but look its worth it for the out come and where i live we have a water pump so the water is free so i would just hook it to my toilet lol
and from what i see it would be easier to run air cool but they say the only why you get caught is by venting off the heat so ill just run it inside of my ac unit lol is that cool
