So I’m going to give this colloidal silver a go, I have some good seeds that I don’t want to have to buy more of. I’ve been reading up on it, that article is gold btw @OzyM8. Anyways is this a good product or could someone recommend what they use. I don’t want to make it.

Yes mate. That’s expensive though for 200ml. Should be able to get a 1ltr bottle of same for $45-50

can always build your own cs generator for about $30-40. Most expensive part is the silver

After posing with rewerb on his fem seed project, here’s a decent link for anyone interested in making their own. It’s a fairly simple thing to do. Just remember to start with a selected female/s from regular seeds. I’ll often make fem seeds from my last run with a strain that we liked to run them again in the future, and / or share with a friend.
Or you can collect the pollen, store it with the method described in the article and use it in another project.

the main issue I see with fems is the weakening of genetic lines. Fem lines are more likely to pass on weakness and recessive traits you might not see in the original plant. They’re good for small growers who don’t want to fuck around with males but for genetic preservation I like to run regs in an open pollination with multiple males and females so I can make my own selections

Agree with you Reza to some extent, any breading is going to carry the genetic traits...good or bad. I always run Reg’s anyway, unless either I’ve made fems from gems (ha, poet and didn’t know it), or I want to grow something that’s only available in fem, or a gift from a trusted mate.
Can’t argue with the convenience of fems though, and as I make mine from a select pheno that’s had a few runs (had its stress testing, eye out for bananas etc..), I’ve never had an issue with fems I’ve made...knock on wood.
I’d encourage anyone to give it a try and not be distracted by the “what if’s”, and put it in the experience bucket.

I’m just doing it for shit and gigs. Plus don’t need mother plants this a bonus for me. Most of the decent strains I have a regulars

the lucius is amazing to unbox,

real quality

and the led has a brightness control,

ferking love em both, hope it translates to sum power savings

the mars might get taken out tonight, n have a little rest, or should i just let it finish the grow so we an see if the mars is good at flowering

u finally popped one! if u just did it it will flower fairly quick so wont get to big.
No. Not specifically... I had to hide some things. And we ended up getting super heavy rain over the next week or so... I thought they would be cooked due to the fact they also got a hot day or two shortly after.

@OzyM8 had a family member live near there for a while. That's how I got them.

I’m not trying to dissuade anybody. Just pointing a few things out. The main thing being the likelihood of fems bringing out recessive traits and increased potential to pass on genetic weaknesses. There’s also a big difference between making a few seeds for yourself and calling yourself a breeder like a lot of people are doing these days without doing any of the actual work.
