Why am I having bad luck with Mephisto strains?

Last summer I grew 8 autos and the 1 Mephisto seed I popped was a runt that turned hermy on me and never really had any buds... All other strains were fine.

So I am currently growing 3 autos... 1 Barney's Farm Skittlez OG, 1 Fastbuds Green Crack and 1 Mephisto Man Bear Alien Pig x 3 Bears OG. The Skittlez OG and Green Crack look pretty normal but the Mephisto just looks weird. It's way to early to call it a bust but it is clearly a little odd looking.

I have actually spent about $400 on Mephisto seeds this year and now I'm a little worried about my investment... Is this normal?

come on Will. Those are like 7-10 days old. Give them some time before you question them. Not all plants are gonna be the same(you seem like you'd know that) and i don't see anything to worry about on that way too young to question plant. And just to put it out there, that is a freebie strain at F1. Not stable F4 to F7 like the strains they work on for years so there is no "normal" for it anyways. Give it some time.

I even said it's too early to call it a bust... And I do acknowledge it's a freebie. But it was a day behind the other 2 breaking soil and it is a little funky looking right now... And I have 2 northern cheese haze left in a pack that I'm a little nervous to try growing out with any other plants because the one seed I grew out of that pack was a total waste. Having said all that... It didn't keep me from placing another $200 Mephisto order this week. I keep thinking my luck has to change.

It looks like its about to be really nice bro, give it time. I'm going to give you fem pollen to get a couple seeds off of that one and your host is going to buy into the idea because hes about that green crack. Just wait till they all get going and we'll be wanting more.
