So I acquired a seed and propagated and planted it once the tap root was about a half inch. That was last Monday. I’ve watered it every few days since then making sure I don’t drown her but she hasn’t popped out of the shell yet even though I can see the leaves have formed a tiny bit. I uncovered it so it could get some sunlight and hopefully have enough energy to pop off the shell but it’s been 3 days and nothing is happening. I’m being patient just wondering if I’m doing something wrong or if I could do anything to help it grow? I know most seedlings shoot up in 3 days and it’s been 8

I can't really see what's happening but are you sure that's a cannabis seed? Doesn't look right to me

Get a tooth pick or something and gently see if you can’t help the plant get rid of the shell

sometimes the shell of the seed will get stuck on the leaves but normally will come off on its own in time. looks like you broke the tip off one leaf to me. you shouldn't be digging up your seed or uncovering it

Should I cover it back up or leave it alone? Neither of the leaves are broken there’s a weird stick thing covering half of it in the picture I’ll take a better one

Yes, weird pic. The seed part is underneath the stick in the picture. What you’re seeing is the Baby leaves

Cotyledons are inside a membrane in the shell. In ideal situations, it sheds this membrane with the shell.
However, i have had quite a few seeds where this membrane got stuck on the edges of the cotyledons and essentially glued them shut.
A light snip with sterilized snips between the edges can cut them free if this is the case.
In my experience with stuck ones, if you leave it, itll most likely die. If you open it, itll have a chance at least.

I spray the straggler shell before gently tugging on it with tweezers. Giving it a good spray of water softens the membrane in the shell and lets it come off easier.

Alright I took the shell off, should I cover it back up with soil and let it sprout through on its own or just leave it be and see what happens?

just leave it. if its going to make it itll open up and start reaching up for light in a day or two.

Just make sure no roots or the root base is exposed to light.
