Any tips for my setup/ growth project?

4”11 by 2”7 tent with t5 light and 4•4 with 600 hps with inline. I just used the paper towel method and put them in there small pots, (5 northern lights). Let’s hope I didn’t put any of the seed in slightly wrong.
Ok so I’m looking on tips to finish this indoors, I was thinking veg in both tents, for several weeks, 10 to 20 I’m thinking or should I do less?. If i screwed up any of the seeds I have og kush autoflowers to replace the seed that screwed up. I might get a light to replace the t5? After a few weeks? Maybe. 600watte mh/hps too big for 4”11 by 2”7?
Any other tips would be great?
I have a fluoride filter for watering.

I was thinking turning both veg rooms into flowering rooms when the plants are bigger.

10 - 20 plants are fine if you are doing a SoG type grow in 1gal pots or something but most will do 4 plants in a 4x4 for flowering.

A 600W is perfect for a 4x4 tent if you can handle the heat come summer. T5 is great to veg little ones.

There's no wrong way to put seeds in but if really shallow I've had the root tip come up and die at the end but once flipped around they tend to grow fine.

What is a fluoride filter? About the only thing to get rid of that is RO but fluoride is more dangerous to you than your plants. Natural fluoride is OK but the toxic waste kind that is added to water is very bad and unhealthy. Most comes from China where they use it primarily as a pesticide. A specific fluoride filter can be had tho.

Never heard of a fluoride filter. RO filters are the only thing I can think of. But yeah, fluoride from the tap is too low to have any impact on plants.

you said 5 NL plants right ? so you wanna veg for 10-20 weeks ? 20 weeks is a long long time to veg I would say veg 8 weeks maybe 10 depends on how they look you don't have a lot of space once you flip lights they will almost double in size so you wanna watch how long you veg for

There's not enough chlorine in tap water to worry about nor fluoride if you live where the water is fluoridated. I have chlorine and chloramine in my water and I water straight from the tap. Have been for decades. If the small amounts were detrimental then my sourdough starter wouldn't grow. If yeast can grow then a plant is a piece of cake. People are too worried about trace amounts of chlorine. Scientific studies have shown that the minimal amounts of chlorine in tap water have little to no effect on microbial activity.

And 20 weeks is ridiculous for vegging. Veg for 6 - 10 weeks flip to flower and harvest two crops in the same amount of time it would take if you vegged 20 weeks. You're growing indoors under artificial light. You don't want huge plants unless they're growing outdoors.

Good luck.

Right. Do you count the 2 week seedling start time into that 8 to 10 week veg period? I thought indicas don’t get too tall but it is 10 percent sativa I think. I just don’t want a poor yield because I’m trying to smoke 5 grams a day for the next 50 years.

Damn, if you're smoking an ounce a week it's either not very good weed or you have a high tolerance. If it's a tolerance issue maybe a vacation from smoking is in order. I used to smoke much more than I do now but never that much. I also take a dry spell every couple of months for a week or two. I really only smoke a couple bowls a day a gram at most and that's on a heavy day so that's about an ounce a month. You're smoking four times what I am. :o

Speaking of bowls, Friday is usually my heavy smoking day. Time to light one up. bongsmilie

once seeds pop soil I consider that veg time so in 8-10 weeks see what your plants look like your worried about a small yield well if everything is to big from veg the light isn't gonna penetrate and you will have a small yield LST your plants also , and 5 grams a day till your 50 lmao i'm 50 now I don't think I ever smoed 5 grams a day in my life even as a teen i'm good for about a 1/2 a fat joint a day puff puff put out puff puff put out

They do make filters specifically for fluoride but they're fairly pricey. It's usually below 4ppm at the tap as is chlorine so neither are a big deal for plants.
