did I spend to much on this bong?

so lil background I bought this bong on amazon because i just had a giftcard laying around. Its my first bong so i dont know much about this. its a 26$ 8" beaker style bong with an ice catcher said to be made out of borosilicate glass. it seems well made but after taking out the bowl and stem a couple of times I noticed a small chip in the glass nothing too serious. I was also looking at a 14" silicone bong thats a straight tube style and is 6$ cheaper with tax. honestly I dont know much but it seems the silicone would be a better value because its bigger and alot harder to break so I would return the one I have for that one.
