Next up, building supports for the plants, keep them upright and from falling through the lids.


I was initially gonna just trellis the entire table and use that for support, im liking this idea less now as i think its not gonna help me in the area i need it most. The weight of the plants falling through the lids.

Any ideas? Ive seen a few guys use the pvc support/scrog for each tote, maybe that might be a good fit. Basically need something that can i can fasten to the lids, so i can run support pvc across them. this was i can still lift the lids if i have to.

Another option is the support hangers, not sure how i feel about them tho. Never used any before.

what ive done I did a trellis around my pvc frame for my tent works very nicely

one sec I gotchu I spilled some pvc primer so I need to get me some pvc cleaner or ill just leave the purple stain on the film on the floor so no biggie ill get ya a pic of what the room looks like its a shit show rn but its coming together

MY 5000TH POST ON RIU


I think im gonna go ahead and build 4 separate cages , 1 for each tote.

Ill fasten them to the lids so i can still lift lids and view roots/ unclog drains. Have them brace across the totes for strength, keep the plants from falling over or falling through lol

I like the idea of seperate supports on each one. I hate not being able to move my plants.

1440 watts of Cutter Led strips. ( currently just 2 fixtures running 960watts)
Saturn 5 enviro controller
60 pint Dehuey
4x 16" hurricane osc fans
2x 6" clip fans
Blulab Combo Meter
2 x 6" 440cfm fans intake/exhaust
Currently growing in Coco/perilite, with plans on moving to ebb and flow real soon.
Automated watering via 8 port manifolds per table and 50g res per.
55-60 sq feet of canopy
49 plant count

Current grow is Blueberries and Chocolate by @Useful Seeds . This is my first time growing his gear, wont be my last, already have more packs en route for next run.

I also have some new babies that are 15 days old.

3 x wedding cake
4 x gorilla zkittlez

HELLO Diggs99 I was reading your post of Aug 28 2019 on the part where you show us a light set up you put together , was wondering if you would go into a little more detail . set looks very nice and clean , and can you use from seedling to flower ?

Hi, thanks for popping by and for the kind words.

My lights were built using the old style J series strips from Cutter electronics. I used half 3000k 80 cri and half 3000k 90cri. each light is powered by a 480w meanwell driver. Each fixture can be safely powered to 960 watts without issue.

You can use them from seed to flower, only difference you may see is a little more stretch from the extra red in the 90cri. Otherwise they veg plants fine. I currently vegged my clones for a few weeks under them, everything looks good.

Parts i used :

30 j series 3000k 80cri All strips come from Cutter electronics. @welight is the owner, real good people.
24 j series 3000k 90cri
480w meanwell drivers ( digikey or arrow)
Tslot extrusions for frame (1010 series) TNUTZ.COM
Heatsinks( .061" ) from heatsink usa.

Here are the threads i used when i planned and built/wired my lights. I had alot of very good help from some very smart posters, so each thread is filled with good info.
