Really? You guys have had good results with getting rid of gnats with mosquito dunks? Never had any luck. Tried mixing it w/ coco. top dressing. even tried making a 'tea' with it. No joy.

Go to the dollar store buy hydrogen peroxide. Mix half bottle to 5 gal bucket. pour into soil it will kill the eggs and beneficials, adds oxygen to root zone. buy yellow sticky as fuck gnat strips to catch the flying gnats. Eggs are now dead in the soil and the ones flying are caught or being caught. Make a bacteria tea for next watering pour into plant soil. enjoy life. make another bacteria tea pour into plant, enjoy life. Gnat are gone. You caught the ones that are laying eggs in the soil and you killed the eggs, enjoy life. cost 2.50 for peroxide and 5.00 for strips, enjoy life

something I have done with my soil from last season that I had gnat issues with, is during my non-planting time, I boiled a bunch of water and poured it over all the pots and soil I am using this season. That *should* kill what ever parasites are in the soil. So far I have not had an issue of them coming back...

This is the micro life bmc product mentioned above. I use the liquid because I have sip containers and add it to the water res at every watering. It gets sucked up into the soil.

Seems to work well in conjunction with spinosad.

Use neem oil. Put it in a spray bottle. Its organic

This is super interesting. So you just add a couple drops to your water/feed solution and water it in? No ill effects I assume?

None I've noticed. I got lazy and didn't keep up and had a few thripes. I knuckled down with leaf spraying and water additives and I haven't seen bugs in a couple of weeks.

Plants are doing great.

Wonder how much the subsp. matters. They both use bacillus thuringiensis. Though AG is a hell of a lot stronger.
