Funny thing is many growers here will tell you once get bit by the led bug , whether it’s strips , boards or your own built rig .... you can’t stop at one.

Happy growing :weed:
lol i already got the bug and my light hasnt even gotten here yet. thankfully it has already shipped. So now i want to get the HLG40 for my 2x1 bonsai mom/veg area. sadly they're sold out atm :(

Tell me about it, I bought a box of 10x twin heat sinks a while ago and just got 8 new v1.1 boards. I don't even need any lights.
I loaned out 720w of cobs and 560w of QBs and my v2 QB 260w is still spare.

I just need another house now and il be ok.
exactly ... lol. I have extra 8 boards with some proto boards sitting wrapped up in an old suitcase with no where to use them . Had more drivers die than boards . The struggle is real. Lol.

Its been quite difficult to not spend money I dont have on QBs I dont need. lmao
i feel that rofl
current setup, 2- 320w RSPEC's , 1- 260w XL 4k v2 with 1 135w RSPEC in the mid, then one UVA30 and one bar with 3- QB3 far red (730nm's) for my 5x5

then running a 135w BSPEC in my 2x4 veg area for now :) with a secondary bulb type fixture
still scheming on more veg lights and maybe another UVA and one UVB light for the 5x5 and a second strip of 3 QB3's FR's

it caaaaaaaaaame! im so stoked on this light! no noisy fans, i can lay my hand on the heatsink and its only slightly warm, and way freaking brighter than expected, gonna be honest i knew HLG was bada$$ but i did not expect this little guy to be twice as bright as my 450w APL's. i was so impressed i already went ahead and ordered a HLG 65 for my bonsai mom area too!

I was planning on getting a HLG40 for my clones also but A- theyre sold out currently and i cant find it for sale anywhere else online. B- because i use an ez-cloner in my 24"x12"x18" cloning space, theres only about 6-8" bewteen the tops of the clones and the "ceiling", since i now understand how intense these lights truley are im afraid even the little HLG 40 strip would be too much at that close of a distance, so ill be sticking with my 2x 14w T5's for now.

@Budzbuddha question bud, what is this for?? If my assumption is correct this is where you would adjust the driver up/down right? am i supposed to take the driver off and remove the rubber cover to access that?

I told you you cant stop at one ... :D

You will like many here do and lurk the site often.
They have new shit pop up all the time. And look at the boards leaving the catalog , they pretty cheap and fly out door fast !

right on thats what i believe as well, sadly it does appear to be covered buy a rubber boot of some sort- will have to pull the driver off and uncover it to use :(
I assume they put the hole there so you don't have to remove the driver. Its just a little cap that you poke out with a flat head or something.
Same as is on the top of HLG drivers, Guess that's an XLG?

lol well sadly my currently living situation only allows for a small stealth setup so until that changes and i have room for my 3 other tents i wont need anymore lights lol.

Im using a Secret Jardin L100 2-in-1 tent, overall footprint is about 2x3 and 62" height, i had to hunt for this tent because it had just hit the UK market when i was looking to buy one, and all the other 2-in-1 tent options sucked, even secret jardins previous model the L90 wasn't designed great, they all used a velcro divider which meant light leak between the 2 sides was inevitable, and the ones that came in a 2x3 footprint like i was looking for only had a 4ft-52" height which just wasn't gonna cut it, so just in time to meet my needs the L100 was released, the divider is sewn in so no leaks and they bumped the height to 62", they also actually made the footprint a slight bit larger at 25"x39" to make up for the poles so you actually get the whole 2x2 footprint and 2x1 footprints respectively inside, to top it off they used a new system for duct/wire ports where you can choose where to put them rather than having to deal with sewn in socks that are never placed quite where you want/need them. I had to find a "local" (5 states away from me) secret jardin dealer and have them ship it in from europe because again it had just been released and wasn't available in the US anywhere.

Anyway in the 2x2 flower side i run 4 plants perpetually, the 2x1 side has a shelf that splits it into a 2x1x3 lower half and 2x1x2 top half, i run a 16 site ez cloner on top under 2x 14w T5s, and keep mothers/experiments on the lower half, currently lit with an APL P150 but like i said ihave the HLG 65 on the way to replace that :)
