Hi Guys and Girls an honest opinion on my first attempt

Firstly i have had a couple of issues, which some members kindly helped me with.

Now this is my first time so please go easy , also the pictures arent the greatest, but how do you think these are coming on please.

Week 2 - Day 1 Flower is where im at.

I have been advised not to remove any leaves yet as plants are still growing and will do till the end of the second week, but then been told to take leaves off which are obscuring bud views, and also take any unneeded leaves or stems from the middle of the plants so more light gets through.

So fellow growers just an honest opinion , and if i could actually do anything to make things better, you all know the small tweaks which help a plant along, im still reading the ingredients off a bloody sheet what came with the range im using.

Many kind thanks in advance

Peace :D

edited- because it would help if i posted the pics for you to see.. another mistake i made lol

Im only writing what ive been told mate. The guy who owns the growshop said dont take any leaves till end of week 2 in flower. Please do not forget im only a newb, and at the moment listening to people advice and going on that. As for nutes , well its the "Shogun" range. the medium is 60/40 coco and its running from an IWS system. Fed twice a day once for 30 mins a hour after lights on, and 15 mins a hour before lights off.

I run coco / perlite and happy frog, 2 1000w HPS through light venting actually have 8 of them for 18’x14’ space. Veg under T5 flo and a multi spectrum Led. First grow in a while , pulling back to a 4 plant schedule (from24) harvesting every 4-5 weeks starting in 2 weeks. Just gonna build a personal garden and seed stash for me and the wife’s ailments of some of the old school late70-80-90 genetics and landrace. GG4 is base hybred I’m running now. May cross some Sativa landrace and see whit I get

They look happy and perky enough so youve done at least a decent job so far.
I can see some tip burn and clawing, which indicates they might be slightly overfed, but its not drastic. Would need to see it in clear color, but I cant make out any other spots or anything.
I do not believe you are prepared for the stretch youre about to have over the next few weeks. Its going to be so much fun!

Yeah I do LST/HST and some super cropping and basket weaving 101 to shape this wild growing strain and get around 30 tops each on a 4x4x4 plant . Have 24 cuts to get my best cut for a new mother. Hoping for around half elbow a plant.

I do something pretty similar. I didnt use the screen in veg this time around.
Page 4 shows progression through 4 stages of supercropping and moderate defoliation. I dont strip them bare, but I thin them way out and you can see how fast they recover.

See above I take bottom 2/3 off, all fluf anyways, Weave the ones that are lagging in to the center lift and just bend the early stretchers and make it a fair race to the best light zone

If it was me, I would do some selective defoliation for better airflow, but I wouldn't butcher it.
Hi mate, that is what i was going to do, mainly the fan leaves, and also if there is any leaves or small stems in the middle of the plant so airflow and light gets right through. Ive seen some of the pics on where peep have stripped their plant bare. When i use the word strip i dont mean completely skin it, i mean get rid of interfering leaves , just as you said mate. Thank you very much for your input , greatly appreciated.

Sorry thought they sent, here’s pics

They look brilliant mate. That is how i want to eventually learn how to do that without f*cking things up. But being first time im very wary as how far to go. So im watching and learning. Your pics are a godsend specially the ones showing how much you lose at the bottom, now next time i will know approx where to strip from. Thank you so much my friend :)

yes I like to take inward facing fan leafs from middle to get a chimney effect through the center.

Thank you mate, really nice comment and you have picked out where ive gone wrong. I did see a few burned tips, i know that prob come from last week when i had a bit of a cock up, but ive given them a good flush since and hopefully it will sort the problem.
Luckily i believe these dont stretch to high (lol, im hoping) . Its even fun as it is now never mind losing space at top of the room haha. Thanks for all your input and trouble youve gone to mate.

Here are a couple of pics of the plants in their night time for you @instg8ter . I hope this give you a bit better idea on how they look. Ive ordered a new phone so i can get better pics lol. Thank you for all your help, and even criticism i need to listen to every word mate, so if im f*cking up point it out, i want to get to where you guys are in time, but i wont learn unless im put right in the early stages. Thanks so much . I hope i dont get to slated for the pics of the plants at night lol. Have a good day pal.
