Buying a HLG light in the near future

I just put my 260 V1 kit together and am extra stoked. It came with the XLG AB driver that I wasn't expecting. I hooked up the included potentiometer and can run these at 28-250 Watts. I'm so tempted to order more now since they are coming with these drivers. Freaking awesome. Love HLG.

Well shit. I just looked at their site again and they're sold out now. I guess they saved me from spending money I don't need too, lol.

Hey guys, its that wonderful time of year again (TAX TIME) so im thinking its time to upgrade my lighting, I know for sure im going withh an HLG qb but im curious which route you guys think would be best.

The area being lit is a 2x2 tent with 4 plants revolving, Now since it is such a small area i know many of you are gonna say "well the single 135w qb says its flowering footprint is 2x2 so why are you here asking questions?" well iv always been a firm believe of no less than 100w per plant- but thats obviously a throwback to my old hps days xD currently the 4 are lit with a P300+P150 platinum LED's, theyve been real good to me over the years and still are but i really wanna dip my toe into this white light qb world!!! Anyway i feel that a single 135w will not give enough light at a great enough spread to cover all 4 plants, additionally im afraid going from the 450w im at now to just 135 would just be disappointing and cause me to regret the purchase

So i started looking at the HLG 300, but even then i feel that the design of this wont give me the best spread, not to mention its 100$ more than buying 2 135's which would provide the same output but allow me to offset them slightly for a better spread, however it is an appealing concept to have a single light that fits the area almost perfectly even if the spread isnt exactly *perfect*.... so now im contemplating between the 300 or 2x135's, the 300 dimensions are 18x20 so obviously if i go that route thats all i can fit in there, the 135 dimenions are 7x11 so i could infact run 4 of those if i felt the need, which is also an appealing idea- one light per plant, could run each one at a lower draw that way too which would probably have them lasting forever... tough decision here!

Thoughts, comments, experiences, all input is welcome! thanks all!
There are 2 lights I would consider for a 2by2.
This
Or
This

I have 4x qb96 elite and a cmh on my 5but and they are killing it

This is funny as heck folks! It sounds like HLG lights are like Lays potato chips - can't stop at just one. It's a good thing that I have a 2 x 4 tent and intend on getting their 320 RSpec which is 1' x 3' ... I can only fit one into the tent.

Or ... am I going to get bit by that same bug and start justifying LED strips for side lighting?

i feel that rofl
current setup, 2- 320w RSPEC's , 1- 260w XL 4k v2 with 1 135w RSPEC in the mid, then one UVA30 and one bar with 3- QB3 far red (730nm's) for my 5x5

then running a 135w BSPEC in my 2x4 veg area for now :) with a secondary bulb type fixture
still scheming on more veg lights and maybe another UVA and one UVB light for the 5x5 and a second strip of 3 QB3's FR's
I have 3x hlg Saber 100s
4x hlg 96v2 rspecs (going to upgrade to 288s for better coverage)
2x Rapid Led 730nm far red initiator pucks.
2x hlg uva 30
1x california light works UVB supplemental light. (Only on for 1 hour last 2 weeks and yes noticeable difference.)
Then finally I want to squeeze in one hlg 50 High CRI supplemental

All in a 5x5 tent

I just got a second grow tent want to get
3x diablo boards (dimmed down)
2x qb288 Bspecs
Then still deciding on supplemental lighting.

Those 96s are way too close together and you should be running them up at 2100mh. The 96 and the 288 have the same coverage but you are meant to run the 96 harder in my opinion.

Just an opinion... dont shoot me!

Shaweet set up tho

No actually completely makes sense however my apartment sort of has a short roof so I couldn't fit a tent with extended height. I may take out the carbon filter because fuck it I live in Humboldt county lol. That would give me another foot.

Can put the filter on the bar at the top back Corner.. the one at the wall at the top. Dunno if you can see mine in the pic.

The 96 in mine is next the the filter. I have a 315mh in the middle but might get 2 more 96 elites to go in the middle. They produce such good buds!
