LST with shop light chains?

I'd let it grow a bit more, then top it. Let it grow even more, and then start LST. I use yarn and tape to tie my branches down, but there are lots of ways to do it.
Ok, those leaves were result of fim and the two branches below it were a fim, so I’m not sure about topping.

I'm confused now. It looks like you tried to FIM it at the top. What do you mean about the two branches below we're a FIM? Anyways, FIMing is a little more tricky than topping, but it's good to try all the methods.

... I think you're telling him to supercrop, but why would you need a chain? It's not a tree ...
Pipe cleaners work great too. Dollar stores sell 'em rather inexpensive.

Could be wrong but it sounds more like he's recommending manifolding/mainlining - grow the two shoots horizontally in opposite directions to form two main stalks.

OP wants to low stress train, by bending the top horizontal, the main top growth point could go left, and then grab a smaller stem and send it to the right. Every branch off the main stem can be bent horizontal. Chains and pipe cleaners can help to hold it down until it will for sure stay.
