Hlg quantum board, spider farmer led or another 315 cmh

Right now im running a 315 cmh and a 600 watt hps in a 5x5 tent but want to replace the hps.

Would you guys go for another cmh or go for an led so i can have a mixed spectrum?

If i go with the led I will probably get an hlg quantum board or a spider farmer. Im brand new to led's so maybe someone can tell me which is the better light and why. They seem to have the same diodes and driver so im not sure why the hlg costs so much more.

Thanks for any input.

I don't run HID so I don't have any experience I can share on that but I have done the gamut of led tech over the past 5 years.
Integrity and honesty are distressingly rare qualities when dealing with lighting vendors. Having customers giving their reviews of using these products goes a LONG way. It pays to use a reputable company.
Having said that, there are plenty of small start-up companies that can offer some really good products at a better value so do some research before throwing down your cash.
If you don't have any issues handling the thermal load now, using a pair of 315's would be the ideal setup. I feel the CMH is the best option if you need to run an HID rig.
Led's should be looked at as an investment.

Would you recommend the hlg or spider farmer? I dont mind spending the extra money on the hlg if its a better light but both seem to use the same diodes and driver so i am not sure if the extra cost is worth it.

I am leaning towards another cmh but I am also interested in seeing how the plants respond to cmh and led combined.

Is your CMH a white light or a warm white light= what kelvin?

I was one of the pioneers (2013) buying crap, over-hyped LEDs that were our only option, and a freakin POS UFO 90 was > $350! Back in late 2014, NIck (now Fluence), but then BML, and I collaborated on a SPYDR 600 that was a mix of mono diodes; CW, NW, WW + ~ 5% 420, and ~ 20% 630s.

Still works great. It is similar to the Spider Farmer boards. If you get a SF 2000 and later a second SF2000 + a flowering led strip can be put in between ,and on each side if you have enough room. That would be tits with rock hard nipples

I run 1 CMH in the middle with 4 QB 288's in the corners of a 5x5, and I would highly recommend the CMH/LED combo. I'm a big fan of CMH, but having the versatility to move the QB boards around to get them in just the right spot and dimming capability is really beneficial. I'm running 2700k QB boards with a 4200k CMH and the frost and density I'm getting is insane!

I am using a Phillips 4200k. If i get another cmh I was planning on using the 3100k for a mixed spectrum. Would you recommend the spider farmer over the HLG?

Sorry for hijacking this post! I am also considering 2 sf2000 lights for a 4x4. Do you have any particular flowering led strips that you would recommend to put in between? Tia!

I haven't used the spiderfarmers but I did get some QB's and can thirdly vouch for them. The rspecs I got are giving rock hard buds covered in frost. I like them way better than any HPS/MH I ever ran. Not tried CMH's though.

Cmh are supposed to produce better quality compared to the quantum boards but I can't speak from experience since this is my first time flowering with cmh.

I hear so many good things about cmh and quantum boards so it's hard to choose.

That could be an option in the future but I want to see what the cmh can do first.

Do you have experience with cmh and led?
Led yes cmh no, I just recently changed my lighting to HLG boards in my flower and mother areas, already seeing healthier growth all around.

I'm loving my Rspec's too, but I think the cmh buds I've grown are a little frostier. I need to keep testing though to really know for sure.

If you do go spiderfarmer. Alibaba has the sf4000 for around $270 w/delivery.

I ran just 1 315watt CMH over 3 plants and pulled 3oz a plant. They were also very sick plants so I think I could've gotten an even higher yield had they been healthy. I like the LED for coverage

AFAIK HLG panels are only one spectrum. For my money mixing them up has benefits when the monos are selected to hit specific energizing peaks

I run 4 qb96 elite and a cmh in the middle. It rocks
