Getting too high

I would look for strains with even a touch of CBD, which will help counter the anxious feelings.

And believe it or not, keep a fresh lemon around. Score the peel w a fingernail and take a whiff. The terps from the lemon oil have a magical effect of calming you down. Really good and easy trick if someone eats too much edibles too. This tip was given to me by a cannabis doctor who consulted with when first starting to use FECO oil for my son. Didnt believe it at first but it works 100%.

Instead of smoking it, use a vaporizer. Significantly reduces the anxiety, particularly of cannabis that was harvested too early.
If you don't want to experience the effects, why not mix with cookie dough and carboxylate it? Consume just before bedtime. You will be too asleep to start "white knuckle riding", by the time it kicks in. Just dont eat if you going to be awake, lol.

Personally, I do make a lot of edibles, just quite a bit differently than simply mixing with cookie dough :)

De-carboxylate, infuse into coconut oil or butter, strain with cheesecloth, put cheesecloth "balls" of product in ziplock bags and freeze. Bake/cook edibles with the oil (or just eat a tiny bit of the refrigerated oil with a teaspoon).

Next time I cook a chicken, I stuff one of the previously wringed-out cheesecloth product balls into the cavity of the chicken. Make cannabis infused soup with the chicken leftovers.

Are there any effects felt at the levels you are using, and if so what sort of time to onset? Got to say you got me drooling at the mention of food.

Thinking of the OP. My solution was very vague, and could lead to undesireable effects if not going to bed immediately.

The effects are a mild to significant relaxing body buzz depending on the quantity I take, which takes effect after about 45 minutes.

I use it for my restless leg syndrome, right before I'm going to bed. Usually I make cookies or gummy bears, but I've made numerous things. The chicken soup is wonderful on a cold day, or when I'm sick.

with edibles I find the kind of high depends on the edible. cookies make me sleepy and a little down. like a sleeping pill. on the other hand green dragon gives me an energetic, happy high. friends have had a similar experience.maybe you should try an alcohol based tincture
