Removing leaves below tops?

So I have 8 tops established but I was curious when to remove growth under the top few nodes on each cola. I have growth tips coming out of each vertical stem (based on the picture). Do I remove those or allow them to keep growing. I’ve been following the nebula mainlining technique.

If you have your desired number of tops? Do not top again. 1 week before you flip the plant, trim them. I start at the 5th node from the top. 3 weeks after I see flower development I do it again. I strip the stalks bare.

You don't even have enough leaves to cover the soil so why would you want to remove any?

Leaves are the plants solar panels so as long as the whole leaf isn't shaded it should be left on to make food for the plant.

Even shaded leaves are catching diffuse light and making food for the plant or even if not productive is still resources for the plant as long as it is healthy and green.

Defoliate only when necessary!

You shouldn't be spraying your plants either unless fighting bugs.

I agree with the too short, lack of leaves. Assumed, stupid, that he would grow out first. But lollipops are good and safe.

I lollitop too but not before there are enough leaves to shade all the lower stuff. Buds don't need direct light to grow so I don't remove good fans but may tuck a bit. I harvest in stages so those lighter green lower buds will have a week or two to get fatter and riper before cropping. Mostly doing real ScroG and/or heavy HST to keep a level canopy.

I remove everything by week 5. 4 nodes on each stem. Popcorn is usually golf ball size and only a day or two behind. I super crop generally. Rushed scrog this time.

the liquid you see was accidental from watering. I’m growing indoors and have no issues with bugs. I just don’t want the growth tips that are on the first node of my colas to form new colas. Not sure if that makes sense. You can see one of tops formed with the growth tips in the picture

If you don't want to let those lower nodes grow to be branches then snip them out. They generally get cut out when people lollipop but don't need direct light to grow to become branches eventually.
