Hm, did some quick calculating, the floor is 5.6 m x 2.8 m, but the problem is with the roof as it slides from 2m to 0.5. As for the lights i was going to go with HPS 600W lights with 2.000 K.
So the room is around 15’ x 9’ and you say the roof slides from 2m to .5 ? Elaborate on the roof? Bit confused here, are you saying you have 2m or 6’ on one side and it tapers down to .5m or 1-1/2’ on the other side?

Yeah if thats the case thats some pretty limiting height. I bet its 6' down the middle and 1.5' on the sides. Small finished attic.

Yeah it makes it more difficult but can be done. I would probably designate a corner of the room with the 6’ ceiling to the grow. Maybe a square meter/3x3 or maybe a 4x4 or possibly find a tent that will work with that height. Being limited on height I would suggest LEDs over HIDs but either would work. If you just use a small portion of that room with a 600w HID and some fans to circulate the air your temps may not be all that bad. Do you have some type of cooling in that room? Central air or window unit? Acurite makes cheap temp and humidity monitors, a must, then just do what’s needed to keep those parameters in check. You will need to filter and exchange air for co2. As for soil and nutrients I would suggest fox farms as they are a good beginner outfit, fox farms ocean Forrest soil coupled with their trio bottled nutes are easy to use and you want have to worry so much with ph as soil has buffers so you can probably just let your water sit out overnight and let the chlorine dissipate out. There is a lot more to it but you have to jump in and get your feet wet and you will learn as you go and try to follow the KISS method. If you have problems post them up here and you will get some good answers and find there are people really genuinely wanting to help. Do keep in mind you will have to spend some money to get started, if you have e3ay you can find good deals on used equipment if you keep your eye out and remain patient.

You are actually right, we used it as an attic, but now i want to change it into the "That 70s" style room and grow a plant or two in the corner where the ceiling is highest. The thing is that the room is very weirdly isolated. What i mean by that is that the room temperature doesn't drop drastically but there are nooks and cranny's where air comes in so it always feels fresh. Not sure how is it going to be when there are plants in there, but i can always get a fan as we go. As for the lights i'm hopping they'll add a few C° to keep us in the 15-20 range during the night. I'll probably go with the leds as seem to be more available in my region.
I'll try a few different versions when it comes to nutrients. I also have a lot of regular seeds that i plan on also seeding so i'll have plenty of testing to do. However i'll probably only keep one or two plants, as the laws are a bit stricter in my country when it comes to marijuana. If i have extra plants i'll give them to my friends. We all work in a call centre so no wonder we all smoke weed XD

Heyho.

Some time has passed, few mistakes on my part with watering and replanting but i ended up with one female plant and a few male ones that got deported into the woods. I know their chances are low for survival but i didn't want to just trow them away/kill them.

So anyways i have another question. For a while now i have noticed that some of the bottom leaves on the plant have started to curl up at the tip and i'm not exactly sure what's wrong so i need some opinions.

The plant is in early blooming state, just recently changed to a 12/12 cycle and also today i installed another led light to give some extra light to the sides of the plant.
I'v been watering every 3-4 days, half a liter or a bit more, also there is drainage so the excess water can drain out. Also for the last 2 weeks i'v been adding extra nutrients, hourse menewer, but from today onward i have switch to a more phosphorus and calcium rich fertiliser (ph 6-7) which i think is the rout of the problem, but like i said i would like some of your guys opinions.

Also i am surprised how little water the plant needs.

Lol this thread is hilarious. Made an account just to reply. Pro tip - film lights are way more expensive per watt than grow lights. Just go for the highest wattage LED grow light you can afford.

Leaves are either lacking nutrients or ph problem by the sounds of it. Also yeah have a dedicated light for growing with a timer is the second most important rule after "water your plants".

Just a suggestion, keep your film gear and grow gear separate. The grow lights will be a permanent fixture in your grow space, especially during flower.

Oh good, so much useful information. I think i'll leave the lights on during the night so the temperature doesn't fall too low, and than use the lights during the day for filming. Also i'll go with the 18/6 method. Oh also the electricity is cheaper at night so extra bonus. Also there is a small window in the room that also gives out some light that i'll cover up with something.

I would also like to ask a few more questions. How high does the plant usually grow and also how much distance should there be between the plant and the lights? Also also XD, how big pots do you recommend i seed them in? And what fertelizer do you recommend? I was thinking of using horse manure or is that a mistake?

As for the lights i was thinking something in the line of the bellow links. Just the stands. What light bulbs do you recommend besides HPS? Also anyone knows the wattage?

Also thank you so much, every tip is helpful :D
Sounds like it could get to be a pain in the ass job moving the lights and or plants around every single day. I would get dedicated lights for your grow needs if your interested in growing. I think you will be much successful that way.
