Italy’s issue is their hospitals and healthcare system can’t deal with the amount of people that are sick. What our government is trying to do is slow the rate of transmission down so everyone doesn’t get sick all at once and have the same thing happen as Italy. The government already accepts that almost everyone is going to get covid-19 (current modelling shows infection rates of 96-98% worldwide, so your more likely to know someone who will experience severe symptoms than someone who never contracts corona) they just want to spread it out over the next few months so our hospitals aren’t completely overwhelmed.

I reckon a lot more people have had it than they would care to admit; how many of us have had a mild flu like cold this year and we are told it’s nothing ?
They didn’t stop Chinese mainlanders landing until recently and this shit was found late last year.....

Seeing how the goverment is handling it now is what im was gettin at last night up until now i was shruggin it all off like its nothing but the reality of it is crazy whether everyone believes it or not.. Im not tryna turn this thread into another corona virus thread as theres already a few here on RIU.
Do you believe it will impact 96 to 98% of the population or do you think that is an over exaggeration?
An im still gunna live my normal life, sorta make meself out to be one of those people runnin scared of it all which im definetly not but i will be tryna keep me an my family away from the crap though.

Yeah it’ll effect in the high 90’s, only need to look at China, Italy and Iran to see how easy and quickly it spreads. The main issue is the severe cases that develop respiratory issues, it’s these cases that can lead to our hospitals and healthcare system being over loaded. The bigger problem is it effecting our economy because People hoarding and not spending any money/going on holiday etc etc.

My asthma badder enough. Worst feeling asthma attack, up their with a stroke. I aint havnt stroke again. Lost half my body for a few hours. Left leg and arm weighed a tonne then i could barely speak, im like hopital

Had an aneurysm in my left kidney 6 years back....they drugged me so much I was floating through Livo hospital and I awoke at 3am one morning off my tits and had a dream that a little phillipino elderly man was tucking me in.....only thing is it wasn’t a dream :weed: Mist have been having a shitty sleep and the little bugger wanted to comfort me lol
