How does everyone go about sexing their reg seeds? I had a round of chemdawg that i thought id sex by chucking in flower room till i saw first sign of sex thinking it shouldnt fuck it up really and my only chemdawg female went through this horrid stage of reveg that completely fucked the plant (in my eyes atleast) so was wondering if anyone has better techniques?
Take clones first than sex them. Throw the male clones away.

How old are you bloke im guessin your a whippa snappa in his eyes. An like most things work related its hard for the older generation to take advice or orders from the youngins
Yeah, I'm half his age and you're totally right. However, all I'm trying to do his maximise the return we get given the extremely limited amount of space that we're working with here. Never the less it's exactly how you put it. I wouldn't want to essentially be told that "you're doing it wrong!" by someone half my age, that's for certain.

By this, do you mean "accelerate" the clones' development under 12/12 & keep only the remaining females for production?
not sure what you mean. Essentially just clone each seed plant so you’ve got a copy and flower one of them. Doe matter which, saves trying to revel a plant because you keep one in veg constantl and would become the mother. Personally I like keeping the seed stock as the mother but it’s personal preference

Hopefully can sex them in veg, not always possible though.

Like Reza said, you can take clones, put the donor plants in flower and chuck any corresponding clones that were taken from the males. Best option if you have a veg and flower room. From there you can also select the keeper/s based on the flowered donor, how they took to clone, no hermies etc. Or do the reverse if you want to keep the “seed” Mum.

Another option is to put all into flower, chuck the males if not wanted and monster crop the females at around week 3.

Or simply do it the way you did, which is what I do during a last run of a strain as I’m limited to a veg/ clone tent within my main room. Switch, sex, back to veg. I try to time it so I’ve got a batch of female clones ready to go out once the clean down and reset is finished, with enough to go back in as donors. From there select pheno/s from that run.

Even 'though you're pismnouncing your worms, I get what you're saying/it. Thank you.

Knowledge banked:idea:

I'm just not sufficiently geared-up to do as you suggest right now.

I have Skunk #1 seeds (reg's) that I want to play- with over winter & release their female progeny to the greenhouse early in the season for next year.

Any males, I'll just isolate & bank the pollen.

Best laid plans of mice & men..........

If you were running a RDWC system would you run fem seeds or clones.
Clones would be easier, but if you wanted to run a new strain would you start from seed or clones from the mother plant

If I use fem seeds I’ll take some cuts from them before they get flipped. They then get put in the veg tent for next run. I clone from clones for perpetual and not had a problem doing it so far....knock on wood!. Generally I don’t run a strain any more than four rounds, usually only 2 or 3.

Would you take a cut from each fem seed an track the seed plant to find the best pheno then run that cut clone (mutliple clones from that first cut) on the next run?

Yes, I’ll number them, take cuts, number the cuts same as their donor plant. Veg them. Pick best to take cuts again for next run. Sometimes I’ll end up with a couple of phenos on the next run after seed run just to make up the numbers.

I can only keep a max of 9 donor plants in my tent due to its size. 9x 5 litre fabric pots.

How many runs before you are runnin the one pheno from origanal fem seed would it normally take you.
An how would you keep the cuts from each fem plant under control in veg stage while your flowerin out the original fems.
2 months of veggin clones under decent lights while you wait for the mothers to finish would end up with fair sized plants? unless your constantly cuttin an training them?
