Has anyone finished their weed with maple syrup?

So I've been growing for a few years now and I first started out by adding molasses to my water when my plants are finishing and I noticed they produce alot of trichomes and the smoke seemed sweeter. So I decided one day last year to tap my maple tree outback and make maple syrup the old fashioned way. I harvested about 50 gallons of sap which boiled down to 4 Mason jars of maple syrup... Doesn't really taste like maple it's more of a vanilla bean flavor with alot of sugar. Stupid good. Soo I decided screw it I'll finish my plants with it. So for the last 4 weeks of flower I used 1 tablespoon to 4 gallons of fresh water and Bam they poured out the trichomes hard and even noticed one of my Alaskan purple kush strains had produced a sticky sap that pushed out of each bud spot. Didn't notice the plant stressing at all. No leaves yellowed and the smoke was heavenly smooth and sort of tasted like the maple syrup I had been using. Has anyone ever tried this? Am I just adding this to my plants with no effects and im just seeing normal flowering or am I on to something? Lemme know what you think. I'm growing under a 1000w hps yeild lab bulb in a 8x8x8 grow tent humidity is usually at 35percent all the way thru flower and temp is 75 daylight 62 night time. I also run my lights at 12:15/11:45 day/night. Nutrients line is advanced nutrients at 1/4 strength. Strains include blue cheese, cheese, Mohan ram, Alaskan purple kush, kosher kush, white widow, mango skunk, blueberry, white Rolex and a strain I found in bag seed that hermies but I use reverse and the smokes killer with no seeds or pollen. Which I think is a diesel cross of some sort. I call it night nite. Snapchat-1126043342.jpgSnapchat-1316959632.jpgSnapchat-1279005206.jpg

Sugars do work. In the tropics we'd harvest rotten mangoes and bubble a tea or use them composted in our pots or holes. And yeah sweet mango flavor.
That's awesome I bet that was some amazing smoke. I have a mango strain never smoked it but it's the one I'm most excited for. Maybe i should try that mango tea on it?

Terroir. My uncle threw 2 dead mongooses into his hole years ago. And it tasted meaty, very different from the others. Pissy smelling but fucking electric!
My not organic friends cut corners and used miracle-gro potting soil. You could 100% taste what was grown in that versus not miracle-gro soil. No matter the clone same general flavor profile.
What you put in your pot or hole will affect the flavor.
The bottle fed fertilizer companies even sell special finishing formulas to enhance flavor and aroma lol.

That's interesting. I don't think I would enjoy a smoke like that but hey I'd try it lol. I tried the miracle grow on my first crop and you could definitely taste it. So I definitely agree with you on that......Who the hell puts mongooses in a hole for pot lmao that's crazy as hell. I've used fish under rose bushes but a mongoose takes the cake lol
