What do you ph your coco b4 Germinating?

Looking for a good quality soil ph pen that don't cost a fortune. One that will read the ph of coco coir. $50s or so. What do all of you guys ph your coco before germinating? I try 5.8 to 6.2 but I'm using dry ammendments & ph tends to rise to 6.8 to 7.0

I settled on a ph of 6.0 to 6.3 but I make a hybrid soil recipe of 1/4 coco some other inert media and then soil and soil like amendments about a 50/50 ratio of inert to non inert. Cut it with peat moss to bring down the ph, it's what I use and typically anywhere from 10-40% depending upon your mix.

I run Canna Coco 50/50 with XLG perlite. I use it straight out of the bag and never bother to pH the medium or the effluent. I only pH what I put in.
