Will my plants be ok or go into early flower??

I have my 4 seed plants under lights at 18/6 right now. I plan on moving them outside mid April. Will my plants be ok? Any suggestions on how I can make a smooth transition?

April seems like it might be a bit early to go out without some sort of lighting to maintain the veg cycle. We recently put some plants into a greenhouse and added floro shop lights for a few hours at night to keep the plants vegging.

Ive seen growers hang a single CFL over their plants. Mid April is risky depending what latitude youre in. Part of it depends on strains/genetics. Personally id wait till may.

I think going out early is great if you can light it to keep it in veg, and if you can keep it warm. The ground is also still cold right now. We built our green house several weeks before we put plants in it so the ground could warm up inside. We are also running a heater at night to keep them happy. We forgot to plug it in one weekend and the plants got pissed.

Wow you already have plants outside? They are likely going to outgrow that greenhouse, your going to be defoliating with a machete.

No it’s a spring crop. We just turned the lights off and we will probably be depping it the end of April beginning of May while it finishes. The summer crop won’t go out until the middle/end of May.

They autos? I guess if u live in a warm enough climate u could work out a spring crop maybe. Not even close to being an option where i live.

Should I slowly start working my 18/6 schedule back to like a 14/10 before I move them outside ?

They’ll be good to go outside to a 14 hour day when there coming off the 17/7?
Outside light is a lot different than growing in a tent. Outside there is always a decent amount of light during sunset and sunrise. In a tent the light is on or off. You would be more likely to drive them into flower now at 14 hours and they will get way into flower when u put them outside or dont risk flowering now and put them outside and if they start to flower, as the days get longer, they will go back to veg.

Wait until late may when the daylength is longer. Insider growers often dont realize your girl starts stacking bud outside when there is 14 or so daylight hours, then slowly build up during light wind down of fall/winter. Even if your plants start flowering now outside they will slow due to reveg but catch up again in late sept/oct.
