Co2 in the grow room

So i purchased a co2 monitor/controller on amazon the other week. Autopilot apc8200. It came in and i hooked it up in my grow room, eager to see my baseline co2 reading at canopy level. I turned it on and it went straight to the 1100+ ppm. I figured the thing was faulty, so i unmounted everything and took it outside to see what it said in natural environment. It came on and read in the low 400s, which isnt out of the question. I took it back inside and hooked it up again, and the thing jumped to 1100+ again. Does anyone else have ambient co2 this high in your room?

You do know that plants put out CO2 during the dark period. This causes the CO2 levels to rise significantly. This could be the cause depending on when you took the reading.

Also, try the meter in another room of your home and see what you get. Occupied spaces have higher CO2 levels because we are breathing. It's not uncommon for a home to have levels between 1000 - 2000 PPM.

I know that the expell some at night, but my room isnt sealed and this was mid day (for lights on) and i figured it would be far lower during lights on. Also always figured the co2 produced by 2 people and 2 dogs would be used up fairly quickly. I have about 20 plants going. I also know they will use more during flower, which is the only reason im not going to return this monitor/controller

I get over 1k ppms whenever the NG furnace is on...But I grow in the garage where the actual furnace is. Maybe that's what is going on?

I have a propane fireplace, but i havent used it all year, so electric heat and electric water heater. House is about 1650sqft with the same for the basement, so i guess we just expel that much co2.
