When I was at MSU, we had a lot of people from countries that never saw snow. I had to warn them over and over that they shouldn't let their guard down when winter started breaking and there was some nice weeks in a row. Because Michigan always gives people that one last screw you that just leaves people depressed if they are not ready for it.

from that article, an example of the "hatred out there" that Trump is complaining about:

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) said on CNN that states were overpaying for medical equipment and were being forced to compete with each other for much-needed resources. Rather than a competition, it “should have been a coordinated effort by the federal government," he said.

Trump said "people are destroying themselves" by stating how much worse this crisis is becoming without a central government to coordinate action between the states as it is supposed to do.
