Bernie Sanders literally lost his chances to win in the 2020 campaign when he most obnoxiously and stupidly made patronizing, demeaning and false criticism of Obama during a 2018 town hall meeting to commemorate the life and death of Martin Luther King. He lost his bid for the 2020 nomination when he said this:

“The business model, if you like, of the Democratic Party for the last 15 years or so has been a failure,” said Sanders. “People sometimes don’t see that because there was a charismatic individual named Barack Obama. He was obviously an extraordinary candidate, brilliant guy. But behind that reality, over the last ten years, Democrats have lost about 1,000 seats in state legislatures all across this country.”

It's just as well that Bernie was AWOL last weekend. He's old and likely to die if he contracts the virus. He literally would have been of no use to people like Elizabeth Warren who is literally able to understand the issues. Besides he had a charity fund raiser to get to. I wonder if he wore a mask?

Still though, I don't blame Bernie for Trump getting elected. Unlike you, I don't blame Bernie for other people's choices when they literally voted for Trump.

And I stand by the reason for the racist right wing agenda spreading across democracies is not because of Merkel, Obama, etc. It is a coordinated attack on our democracies using minorities and poor people to whip up a populist racist rage. Coupled with a sophisticated propaganda hitting the vulnerable people on the left with anti-establishment/anti-wealthy bullshit designed to depress voting.

It is not rocket science, it is just shitty use of newly developed online tools in a very effective manner.
