Need help with diagnosis

Hey All,

Need help with diagnosis of my first grow. The plants grew some over the weekend and developed the spots and discoloration.

Background

1/20
- Seeds sprouted then started 1/20 in CoMOF,

1/24 - seedlings popped up.

Had over watering and to much light starting out. Started with 275w actual led that was on them ~4-5 days, then switched to 50w actual of regular led bulbs. Plants were under these lights ~6-7 days. Temp was ~70-75F and Humidity was low ~45%.

2/5 - Plants hadn't been watered in about week, transplanted to 3g pots. Soil in the cups was damp but not wet. I put plants and CoMOF "solo plug" into fresh Happy Frog soil, no additional water since plugs were still damp.

Plants placed in 4x4 veg area under 550w actual leds 18" above tallest plant. Temp stays 75-78F and Humidity stays about 55-60%.

2/7 - Watered ~16oz per pot (distilled)

2/10 - Plants had noticeable growth in 3 days, but leaves now have discoloration and spots.

Hi Turbo,
Looks pretty much like Mg deficiency to me. Add in some Epsom salts 1/2" tsp per gal and she should green up. Do you have nutrients yet?

I have epsom, so I’ll add that in before I water today.

I was planning to do a soil only grow for this grow. 1 plant is a Photo and the other 2 (worst looking ones) are Auto.

Plants were moved from Solos to 3g pots just 5 days ago so soil is fresh.

Turbo,
Lots of guys plan to do a rich organic soil grow with no added nutrients...until the plant starts fading weeks before it should. So have a good organic flowering nutrient on standby in case you need it.

Thanks.

What would you recommend?

Turbo,
The wisest thing would be maybe starting a little thread over in organic section. They know this stuff. My knowledge is way out of date. Some things never go out of style though...worm castings are good N source. I think it's seabird guano that's high in flowering stuff...just to give you an idea. Top dressing stuff.

There was a guy who posted here...representing a line of totally organic nutes. I remember looking at the website...I'll try and track that info down for you...and get back to you. Meanwhile...google organic plant nutrients and I'll bet you get a few hits.
JD

Edit...gave up nute search.

Yes, currently using distilled, will be doing RO.

I‘m on city water and figured the added stuff would be bad for the plants.

try googling
“distilled
water cannabis plants”
thats your problem.
try drinking distilled water for a while and youll see the same effects as the plant in your teeth

you need to add calmag to the distilled water
How much? I have plants here on soft water and I just baught cal max 2-0-0, not sure how to appropriately dose my cal mag I think my ppm is 90 to begin with, I can also run distilled water if I have to but I’m having trouble figuring this out I don’t wanna harm em ...I added 3.5ml to a gallon jug and fed em that on Monday and lightly foliar fed them one night sum too.. how much of this cal mag should I be adding to my soft water and how often?

Look for instructions on the container. Come back and describe what you did and the outcome. This should be interesting.

Firstly, do not use soft water. The softener removes the majority if not all of the minerals in the water and replaces them with salt. So you are watering them with salt water.

This was part of my original problem I believe.

Calmag instruction will be on the bottle.

Also make sure you are checking and correcting the PH the water before using.
