RDWC system
RO water
Canna Nutes
Cal/Mag
Day 9 in buckets
1000w light running at 60%
PH consistantly at 6.0
PPM 350
Temp range 65° off 73° on
RH range 58%-64%

These yellow spots popped up almost over night. 2 outta 4 plants have then. They're the 2 closest to the humidifier incase that helps. I also plan on using Trifecta crop control on them just have not started spraying yet as im not to sure on how early I should start. Im a first timer and dont really have anyone to physically help me out so I've brought it to the RIU community. Any help identifying the issue and any remedy would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!!

Pretty sure RO water is no good. Everything else you are saying sounds on point.... For a first timer youve done a good bit of research.... Hopefully others will weigh in, Im a dirt guy myself.

My tap comes out at 290ppm and I have no clue what is in it. I was able to score a RO on the cheap and figured it was the way to go anyways. also why im running Cal/Mag

Tap water that passes through a charcoal filter like a britta or one of the fancy installed ones like i posted below is typically just fine for weed.
There is plenty of info out there on RO water and such... I think 6.0ph is a little low?

I have a 65 gallon kit. That may take forever lol. As is it takes 14 hours to fill with RO system hooked up to a hose. Couldn't imagine how long that kinda filter would take.

So thru the research that I've done on the interwebs I came to the assumption that RO water was the way to for hydroponics. And the sweet spot for PH levels were between 5.8-6.2 so that's is why i have been keeping it consistently at 6.0. Being a first timer I open to any an all information/suggestions. I would like to think this issue would not be related to water quality or PH level but that's why I am here lol. Cause I don't know.

Again, im not very learnt on hydro. That filter I attached the link to filters water at over a gallon per minute.

Seriously? It's the best.

Sounds good enough for a soil grow. For hydro the pH should be lower, 5.8 is generally a good number.

Plants are starving. Get the nutrients up to around 700 PPM at least. I take rooted clones directly to 1000 PPM and they love it.
Thanks. They just started showing roots floating around in the water. I was going off Canna feeding suggestion and it recommends at about 550ppm rite now and being a 65 gallon kit I’m staying on the lower side to be safe. Can jumping up ppm that fast have side effects or should I be raising it in increments? You think the yellow spots are a sign of hunger?

Thanks for the info Renfro. I just wanted to "comunicate" the info on the book (the 6,2-6,8 pH is on the Hydro chapter) because im also a beginner.

Hmm well that book is garbage. That pH range is too high for most hydro. It's more fit to soil grows.
