Seedlings under regular incandescent light for a couple hours each night?

I’ve got three seedlings growing right now. Outside in direct sunlight every day all day. Inside at night. After researching and still being a noob, I’ve realized my seedlings probably need a little more light than what the days are giving them right now. I cannot buy a proper grow light for another week or so, but I’ve got access to regular Ol light bulbs. 40w soft white to be exact. Does anyone have experience with putting plants under these types of bulbs? Will the extra red light be a problem for seedlings? Thanks.

I imagine they will stretch, or be spindly due to lack of lumens(Lumens measure how much light you are getting from a bulb. More lumens means it's a brighter light; fewer lumens means it's a dimmer light. ) Are you able to get say, 100w bulb? Depending on how old the seedlings are, outside and then indoors may stress them.
When do you intend to plant them outdoors? Or are you trying to grow them indoors?

Hey thanks for your reply. I’m not sure when I plan to plant them outdoors. When would be a good time? I live in the southern US. And about the stress, I was worried about them going in and out, but so far one of them is pretty stretchy, but the other two are doing alright, I think. I posted a grow journal of this grow with recent photos if you’d like to check it out

You could just simply leave them with the 12/12 light schedule outside with the sun. You dont need to give them the extra hours indoor growers use. However if the plants already have a schedule of xtra light after sun down with your lights and if old enough they may start preflowering after 3 days of consistent longer nights. Just a heads up for the next grow. Im new too and didnt learn that till i did some research
