Growing weed is like learning to make coffee. At first you're extra cautious with putting the exact amount the directions say or who tells you. It never seems to come out like when coffee is made for you though. But after a while you figure out how much YOU like to out in the machine. You figure out if you like to use tap or bottled water. Pretty soon, you're making perfect coffee while you're still half asleep...but sometimes you make stupid mistakes still like forgetting to put the water in. This was a dumb metaphor and I dont think anyone learned anything from it haha, but it seemed good in my head

Thank you for the compliments! I really hope you enjoy your harvest and helps with your pain. As long ad you stick with it and learn from your mistakes and dont let them discourage you from growing, you will without a doubt, be harvesting awesome yields and you'll be giving out advice. After a while, you get "in sync" with the plants. Alls that means is that you know what and when your plants need and you stop going so much by rules and go by your instinct and you get to that stage faster than you think. I really learned the most about growing when I switched to coco for a medium. Through some failed coco grows, I learned soooooo much more about growing and now I feel like "I know " the plant better. Now coco is my favorite medium. Anyway, gonna wrap it up here. With your humble attitude towards this hobby, your bound succeed. Good luck dude!

Edit* my bad for the typos. I'm killing some pain right now :eyesmoke:

What a really nice post mate, thank you so much. And for going through how you soon get to know your plants, what they need, what they dont. That really gives me a feel of a massive boost. I do love watching them change, it fascinates me, only thing at the moment im a bit lacking in knowledge to spot all the symptoms, mind you as they say rome wasnt built in a day, so what im doing is taking in as much advice as i can and building on it slowly. I hope the day comes when i become as good as you mate :) . I use coco 60/40 , if that is classed as coco, i got told in the shop that using a IWS system that this would be a good choice, not ready for pebbles yet, to much can go wrong if you dont know what you are doing, Hydroponics i think it is, or even bubbleponics . I feel humble that you have gone to all the trouble you have gone to mate, the mark and respect of a very nice down to earth lad and i like that about you, some can be sharp and have digs, you arent like that you have quality and thank you again for taking time out to post. I hope you killed the pain when you wrote it ;) lol. Have a great day and keep in touch, and i no need say good luck on your plants, you dont need it mate :O im still in awe at seeing it ;)

No problem jonnylongton I'm doing a gorilla zkittlez and a pineapple chunk. There some pics of my recent harvest I chopped in Feb. They were gorilla zkittlez but did not grow very high. Had some nice bid off them tho

Thats brilliant mate, your pics are amazing and also how you have your set up and know how to train your plants, well out of my league lol. Thank you so much for sharing @Arnski5000 mate, i appreciate it so much. I can keep going back to that now and trying to learn how to get my plants to look like that, instead of something that looks like a medusas head of hair lol. Id had Pinapple off someone once and it was lovely, and the Gorillazkittlez sounds now, something for me to look into later as ive got a docs appt in a hour. Once again mate, i thank you so much

Imo, you're growing in the best medium
Coco or coco/perlite. Someone suggested this site to me and has helped me a lot, so I pass it on when I can....cocoforcannabis.com. there is a so much info about growing in coco. Best of luck on your growing journey, you're off to a great start. (If you go to the website, I wouldn't pay TOO much attention to the amount of rinsing and buffering her does to his coco if you're using quality bagged coco. It's not as necessary with the nice bagged coco imo). Other than that, that website is gold

Hiya mate, thanks for the compliments, means a lot coming from someone of your growing calibre. Ive bookmarked that site and i will have a good look through it. The coco i use is canna coco professional plus, only £11 a bag of 50 litres. A guy in the shop said theyd just had some new soil in which is the dogs bollocks and its called
DNA Mills Ultimate Coco with Cork
h**p://www.mills-nutrients.co.uk/dna-mills-ultimate-coco-with-cork.html
I dont know if this is any good but it also has a great write up on how good it is, but i dont know whether id benefit because i dont use Mills range of nutrients, i use Shogun Range.
Ive just had a quick scan of the link you gave me and yes it looks very good, once again very much appreciated mate, i will join and have a good luck when got a little bit more time. Flush day tomorrow so another week closer , getting more excited now lol, cant imagine how it must feel to get your first grow and smoke something you have done yourself.

That's definitely a very special moment,....getting medicated on your own hard earned harvest. It was definitely my most memorable smoke. It was just a little head buzz from some early harvested apollo 13, but I instantly was grinning from ear to ear when I felt that little buzz. So yea, its something to look forward and not rush to it. Nice job man!
