Consume Fan Leaves after defoliation?

Hi everybody,

so I just finished cutting all those fan leaves off of my bush, since I started blooming 3 weeks ago.

my relative simple question now: What can I do with the leaves? Are they safe to consume?

For veg stage I used "Biocanna Bio Vega" and for the blooming stage I used "Biocanna Bio Vega" fertilizers in small doses.
The leaves are currently drying and I hoped I could do something with them, but I#m unsure because of the fertilizers.

Thanks for the answers

More Info if that matter:

If they're not, then you're growing buds unsafe to consume too.
My thought was that Ill flush the plants and not give them fertilizier a couple days before harvest. But thats different with the leaves who were cut 2 days after last fertilizer water was given.

If you are feeding them something you wouldn't want to consume then you are already doing it wrong because there is no way to remove anything from the plant once you put it in.

All agriculture is grown with nutrients, they aren't going to hurt you. What you wouldn't want to consume is pesticides, and random chemicals or heavy metals. Which any decent nutrient won't have.

My brother juices his leaves, and even some of his lower buds. I trash any leaves that aren't totally covered in trichomes.

My grow is all organic and i don't spray with anything so I feel they are safe to eat. I just rinse them off to get rid of any dust first. Definitely very nutritious.

I chop them up into small bits, mix with some romaine and kale, add vegan ceaser dressing.

Like any vegetable, the older the greens the more tough and bitter it will be. I culled a bunch of phenos the other day that were only a week or so post clone... Those were super tender and had a much better taste than something that is in flower.

I thought you had to heat the plant to release the drugs?
If I see trichomes on the leaves, they go on my pizza base after the cheese, but before the toppings.
Eating raw leaves or juicing isn't usually done to get high. It does give you an energetic awake feeling in my opinion but has different health benefits. Has a huge amount of anti oxidants when juiced. I also figure I spent a lot of $ growing those leaves, and I need the vitamins and nutrition they contain. Waste not want not!

It’s not all about getting high. I throw dried fan leaves and stems into a blender and jar it up to use as an herbal tea. It doesn’t get me high but it makes a great tasting herbal tea that is also good for you. It tastes similar to lemongrass tea.
