Bennificial Bacteria or Root Rot?

I should have taken a picture the last 2 days but i didnt.

It hasnt quite been 6 days since changing res, using hydroguard. 2 days ago some dark stuff started building up on roots.
I thought it was bennifical bacteria because even where the dark buildup was, there were lots of fresh little roots poking out.
But now its starting to spread everywhere and getting slimy.

This isnt bennifical bacteria is it???

The pictures dont look slimy I agree, there was just one location, about half way down the biggest root.
It sprayed off easy, and i did the whole peroxide dance. well see how it goes :/

You can easily burn off the fine root hairs with that stuff so be careful.

I thought i was on the cautious side, but the girl is very droopy today so maybe i over did it.

In about 1/4 gallon i only added 6 drops of hydrogen peroxide....

I should really stop winging it and do my research huh

Hydrogen Peroxide will kill off your hydroguard, I believe that is what you saw. Root rot is IN the root and the roots become slime. The beneficial bacteria culture that you had going on your roots was a good thing.

Probably;y didnt do anything at that dose.

as the other guy said it can kill your microbes as well,

h202 shouldnt be the first choice for any root rot issue (which you dont have) unless its just super bad..............

So, shes still alive. But her younger sister (hoping anyways) has gotten bigger than her now. I just switched to 12/12 yesterday. Heres some pics from a couple days ago, any guesses on potential yield?

I was just worried they would get too big, my tent is only 80 inches and the buckets take up a fair amount, plus the lights eat up another 6-12 inches.
