You are in the window...very close op.
Why not try a lower nug to test? Quick dry...little taste or smell but will allow you to see where the high is in relation to how you like it.

I'd say from what you've presented, you're extremely close, if not there. I agree with @FastFreddi... if you're still unsure, take a sample piece of a bud from near the top of the plant, dry it out and test it. Although it won't be perfect, a quick dry at 220F in the oven for a very short time will at least tell you if the efficacy is what you want it to be.

Disclaimer: I am not advocating for quick-drying cannabis in the oven. I'm only suggesting it as a temporary solution for a quick test. Testing this way usually results in a harsh taste, but it's the efficacy and how it makes you feel that you're after for this test.

To be honest, I'd need to see the plant for myself to tell what differences a week will make. Going early will give you more of a head-high, where as going longer will make it more couch-lock.

Again, from what I see (and that's not very much), I'd be content cutting today or a week from now.

We all were on our first grows. And second, and then third :)

Best advice I can give is never stop researching. Even when someone gives you advice, it's worth researching that advice as well.

Some will give you advice from years and years of successful harvests in a myriad of differing environments, others advice because they watched the latest Youtube video fads. Hardest part for a newcomer is sorting out experience from fraud.

You've done very well for your first grow.

Kudos!

Yes I’ve documented myself a lot before getting to it and thanks!

You should start a journal. Keep us apprised on how this turns out as you get on with the drying/curing process, and especially when you start your next grow.

Especially for the first couple of grows it really does help to have eyes on things in a journal. The "Journal" forum here is set up for specifically doing so.

I like the idea but I stopped doing this personally because it never taste the same later dried and cured properly. Now I just wait until I think it’s done then flush for a week.

I cut when I feel its done, no flushing.

Same approach though.

My bud is dried, jar cured for ~6 months, then vacuum sealed and put into the freezer (when I'm in abundance).

Again, I just recommended the flash-dry for efficacy testing purposes only.
