Anyways, no one complained about the scrog in my grows so here's a tip I picked up on this grow that made it super easy peasy.

- Use a small squared scrog for three days to set the plant...as long as you don't let any shoots grow vertically, the canopy will spread instead.

- After three days replace with a large squared scrog. Rinse and repeat up until the fourth scrog where you should have established flowers and you can just let it grow through like normal. This is the first layer.IMG_20200309_210853.jpgIMG_20200309_211225.jpgIMG_20200316_001234.jpg

GSC as in Girl Scout cookies?

sorry if I’m not familiar with what you’re talking about.

could you enlighten me if you’re not on about Girl Scout cookie please.
That it came from this place and heaps of other strains...clones used to get shared around a lot between guys that frequented these forums. Lots of plant banging was going on apparently. But because it's obviously from the underground it seems more like a legend or myth. So I was just interested if anyone could confirm.

I think he's referring to the orig. GSC cut I think from N. cali but Im not sure... it's a cut and so passed around.

tbh its quite normal this way.... sometimes someone gets to see an extraordinairy plant and reveggs it and keeps it and gives clones to friends.

I have some of that plastic green trellis netting in my shed.

I’ve just harvested my room so I’ll possibly give this a go with my next run.

cheers for the idea.

After my previous post about GSC I then thought oh I wonder if he’s on about Greenhouse Seed Company lol but obviously not.

there have been clone only varieties of strains for quite some time such as the original EXODUS cheese.

people release seeds in these sometimes as they’ve crossed similar genetics or used a clone only version with a male or male pollen from other plants to create the seed stock etc but none are ever the originals only close resemblances.

I’ve grown out HSO BLUE DREAM (blue dream is supposedly a clone only HUMBOLDT origin strain with thinga like double serrations on leaves etc.

I grew out the blue dream and it had double serration but it wasn’t a hugely stable strain and found 3 different phenos in just 4 seeds.

but as I grow from seed every time I prefer tried and tested genetics now for at least 2 of the 4 I usually grow.

this last Grow was only 2 plants. An autoNL x BB by world of seeds and my usual CRITICAL+ by dinafem.

Normally I grow 2 critical+ and then 2 other genetics to see what they’re like.

next run I’ll be doing 2 critical+ eleven roses and a white Siberian.

the hanging plant is just from 1 girl. I’ve trimmed 2 of the stems in the pics. These were almost my 2 smallest stems on the plant.

the rest will be trimmed tonight. Then during this week I’ll start again with my 4 listed.

I make my own blend which is a lot cheaper. L-glycerine you can get from a nutrition store and the L-Glutamic acid is what you pay most for but use the least amount of. I went just for what the dutch went for 6 ppm of it. There is some kind of reaction between the two acids...the L-glumtic raises ppm and drops pH but as soon as the L-glycine gets added the ppm goes down drastically....which is super fascinating, I believe it is a synergistic reaction rather than a counter active.. A 2:1 ration of Glycine to Glutemic acid seems to be the best ratio I've found and whatever of that to add an extra 6 ppm to the total solution. I make up a 15 litre feed every single day and it take 1/2 tsp of glutamic and 1 tsp of glycine.
I've found the acid but the L-glycerine, is that veg glycerine because i cant find it.

Found it, its glycine. I will order some, i researched what your talking about a few years ago and talked about it on forums back then. With the calcium you can keep pests away as well.

So I’m really not trying to split hairs and be difficult, but this is not a SCROG.

A SCROG is when a plant is grown/woven into a screen to maximize a canopy. A really well done scrog won’t need a second trellis because it will be flipped at the right time to maximize canopy and minimize veg.

What you are doing is just some basic trellis supports. You aren’t growing the plant into a screen to spread it. You are just putting up trellises.

God you're pathetic. You ARE splitting hairs here moron. The function of scrogging is for a nice even canopy. Are you literally that blind that you can't see an even canopy in my photos? This is why you're embarrassing. You get slapped in the face by obvious, yet you still find a way to see something else.

Dude take a deep breath, once again if you paid attention you might learn something. It’s noob growers like you running around miss using terminology that cause all sorts of confusion.

This whole thread started with a big fight about the fact that defoliation and pruning are not the same thing. Just like flushing and watering with plain water are not the same thing.
