How much weight do you lose while drying?

So I’ve never weighed wet bud before as I didn’t see the point but this thing is a bit of a monster. So dense it’s insane. And was flowered under a MH light too.

How much weight can one expect to lose?

Water weight just is..no matter the size or density Friend.

I weigh the buds and stems right after chop.

If the nugs are big and dense I multiply by 0.23 to get an estimated dry weight. If it's a wispy strain I multiply by 0.18. It gets you in the ballpark.

25g dry no stem. Thats what my 133 wet cola weighed

I suspect your buds are overly dry, put them in a sealed jar with a hygrometer to tell you what humidity they are at

Well I'd say of the 133 fresh when it's dry it will be about right around 45 to 50 grams

That was weighed right after trimming so deffo not too dry. They are drying 60@60 for a good 10 days.

I hope this happens but seems like 75% is moisture so you lose 75% in weight.

But will post it up without the stem once it’s dry.

It depends on the strain IMO. I grew some Chem Dog last year and is very lightweight . I did get 13lbs off my four plants though.

Yeah i always cure for at least a week before i smoke. But now im in a position where i can cure for months before i need to smoke.

Depends on the density of the bud. Some flower is like rocks, some like a cloud all fluffy. Typically 20 - 30% remains when dried to curing RH% of 60 - 62%
