Can you use only half of a 4x8 tent?

Looking to get a larger tent. My original plan was for a 5x5 but a 4x8 seems like a better buy. That woukd allow me room to upgrade in the future. However I will only have 1 light for that tent until future budget allows.

Can you utilize a 4x8 as a 4x4? Would I need to section it off in the middle? Thanks as always!

You could use a 2x2 area of that tent if you want lol.

I understand i could grow a single plant in the corner lol. I was just wondering from a reflective and air circulation standpoint.

I'm only using 1/2 of my 4X8 right now. No separator or anything. I have a light on the other side, but it's not turned on right now. It will be later this week when I move a few new plants in there.

You just won't get the benefit of reflective light off the open side, but you should be fine.
