Cmon man....I was cracking the shits to begin with for your lack of attention to detail. I clearly stated "THIS WAS THE LAST ARTICLE I LISTED". I did say it was an academic article and it is....That was just an example of what YOU should be looking for. The info is out there and I've tried to give to you guys on numerous occasions.
If you want people to be able to follow along then perhaps you should keep your posts on topic instead of losing your shit like a child. The last thing I saw you arguing about was about using ca to prevent mold or fungus...or some shit like that. When I asked you to site sources, I wasn’t even necessarily disagreeing with you, I was trying to get you back on track to see if I actually agreed with what you were arguing, and you sent me an article about the importance of Ni in plant growth. You can’t just blow up when people disagree with you, because it discredits everything you are trying to convey. What’s the point of trying to explain things to people if you’re just going to fly off the handle and tell them you aren’t going to “do the work for them” when they ask you for citations? I’d also like to add that anyone who doesn’t have a degree in the sciences needs to be very careful about vehemently believing everything they read, to the point of agreeing and insulting those who don’t agree with them, peer reviewed or not, because the chances of that person misinterpreting the study are exceedingly high. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve had strong opinions based on studies I’ve read until I realized that I misunderstood a LOT of what I read.

This topic died. We are just bs-ing as we proceed to the exits.

I’m just making one last effort to get him back on the right track. While the chances are minimal, I’ve seen a few forum “experts” change their tune and become much more tolerable in the future. I’m also trying to give him somewhat of a pass, for now, since people are having a hard time dealing with all of the lockdowns and are losing their minds.

I get your points but I spent hours upon hours doing this research. What bothers me the most is when people offer up something that shows they didn't spend hour and hours on it, it's pretty obvious to me when someone hasn't done their reading. The only times I blow up is when I get smacked in the face by stupidity it makes me completely stupid and it turns into an argument about stupidity instead. This response was a million times more reasonable than then anything I've seen thus far and it brings my stupidity levels down as I can actually think with this response instead of reacting. I'll get those citations for you, but not right now, I'm in the middle of helping someone out with their uni assignment...no joke...It's more because they're a cutie though that I'm helping them out.

If people are assholes then just ignore them. I used to get into pissing matches with people on Reddit all the time and it’s not worth it. You do little more than make yourself look like an asshole and that doesn’t help anyone. The main reason I’ve been so active here, since I joined, is because people actually try to help each other here rather than pounding on their chests like so many people do on Reddit.

Nothing wrong with spirited debate. But it takes an open mind and real world experience to impart your point. I actually thought the thread was about not defoliating. What does that have to do with calcium intake and mold resistance?
That’s the direction it went when I said what he’s saying doesn’t make sense. It’s been all down hill from there.

I have been reading for over 40 years. I have learned my garden can teach more in a season. Consider that. Read for an introduction. Learn through experience.

If you want peoples attention do a side by side grow where one plant gets the described amount of calcium push. Get your grow room up to around 60RU for the run and 85-90 temps. Like SE Asia’s where bud rot IS a problem outdoors.

Just a basic point on defoliation. Do plants not defoliate naturally? Where is the question? Or better, why the question?
