Hey all....quick ?

I have a 105w full spectrum cfl...the thing is the size of my arm..now i know everyone says to set em up so they sit horizontal above the plants...which i currently have it set up that way...BUT

If i set mine up vertically with a shop light reflector... do u think it would be less effective than the horizontal set-up???

Anyone??? Thanks!

Spiral CFLs and TUBE CFLs emit light from the sides and not from the tip or the end of the bulb.

I believe dude is talking about getting the lamp down between the plants. This seems like the most efficient way to go.

I'm about to try it with a 23w cfl between 4 sativas. Clones should be rooted in a couple days so should be interesting. Maybe you guys will check up on it over the next few months? I'm excited to see what will happen.

T, post up some pics when you get your rig set up. I'd like to see how you work it. ;-)

Dude that's what vertical grows are... side-lighting. No shit lamps emit light from the sides. You gotta at least screw it in on one end. I didn't think there could be any confusion there.... wtf? I guess I misunderstood you but I'm glad you got it worked out. Keep it green.

LOL....lots of confusion now.... i was talking bout jus hanging the 105w vertical with a shoplight reflector as oppossed to trying to figure out a way to have it horizontal... i def keep a shit load of lights on the sides when i flower..but that ? was jus for the hangin of the 105w...which made alot of sense when roseman said it emits from the sides and not the top of the spirals... so he answered my ?....
and now i need to figure out the best way to have hat sit horizontal when i raise the lights..
