Its not easy to get them all the same size each time. I’ve got a fairly spacious built-in dedicated flower room but vegging is done inside tents. I’ve added more satellite grow areas as overcrowding became an issue. I have a friend currently renovating his home during this here quarantine thing and of course his kids are home so Ive been asked to hold onto some clones/full plants much longer than expected. One of the things you can do if your interested in perpetual is to start them earlier than needed and just butcher them if your waiting on flower tent. Make them be a size you want and keep them like that until they hit the dance floor.
I have a tent 4x4, a small yard and a better than though waitress type skank for a neighbor. Can't even grow the limit to finish. Be happy. Its not easy to get them all the same size each time. Due to overcrowding I had to put the bigger plants right on the floor of the bloom room while the smaller ones finish along the side elevated up on milk crates. I try to time it to pull a harvest about every 3-5 weeks.
I have raised garden and actually back plants down as they grow ( 24.00 grated plastic modular shelf’s from Maynerds.) that way I can keep all tops close to light full grow no matter plant size and light to floor of 9’ in 6x8 flower area in 16x16 open space partitioned 2 - 1000 w hortilux HPS on nanolux ballast with ultra lux to 1250.Its not easy to get them all the same size each time. We are frying kale. You know plants don't see lumens? People do.46057 lux at 8” from bulb. On 75% power.
I can tell you what I have. I have no actual research. Just experience and that is now on grow 4.I want to look into a few like we were talking for the extra UV and far Red in flower. You have specs. Start looking at LED stuff and I get lost in the hype.
Most people base choice on output. Temp matters. Different every batch and producer. Like CPU's. Silicon lottery.567.12 PPF for veg sufficient?
I believe they are healthiest when they just start to reach.Prefer that to a spec sheet of overrated numbers, I say if they look healthy and pray to the light they are happy.
Really messed up. Have a good friend working on his phd in agricultural chemistry. His family owns a huge farm/orchard. But taught me to use a cd to determine the color and outputs of my lights. Just use Uv safe glasses.Meter only reads lux and FC have to use converter for PPF
I run as dry as possible until flower.Yep I gave wife key to water and nutes cabinet and only give it to me twice a week....lol still drying from me being around too much, yes just above le
Peace. Spent too much of the last 5 years watching plants grow and paint dry hoping my wrist worked normally today. Plants don't talk. They yell. Night.Time home is getting me more in touch with plants and their growth rather than just fattening them up on slop like pigs for slaughter. Well bud I’m gonna pack a bowl of play 3 ( the sleepy one) and hit the sack. Son-in-law the chiropractor beat me up pretty good today. Hope you feel better
