If you want a really good light for that space here is one option

What would make you think it would be suitable for a 3x3 when it clearly says it’s suitable for a 2x2? A 2x2 is only 4 square feet and a 3x3 is more than double the size at 9 square feet. You would need at least two of those lights.

That said...
Mars Hydro is well known for over stating the efficiency of their lights and they are also known for sending people free lights in return for them posting positive reviews. I personally wouldn’t feel right supporting a company who does business that way. If they sold quality lights then they wouldn’t need to do that. Even their own posts in this forum look like they’ve been written by a kid straight out of high school who doesn’t understand growing. Just take a look at their post history here and you will see that all they do is push their product and they rarely answer questions people have for them. Their post history is nothing but garbage advertisements and hashtags.

Their deceptive advertising practices alone should make them banned from sale, then the quality is sub par and not worth the time.

I’m surprised they are permitted to advertise here, but at least the admin here doesn’t give anyone a hard time for calling them out for who they are.

Their newer smd lights aren't terrible. A little too much blue for flowering, but definitely a step up from their old blurps in terms of both output and build quality.

But yeah, there are better options out there for sure if looking for a quality LED, but don't want to spend the kind of dough to get a Timber, HLG, Gavita etc.

Spider Farmer, Meizhi, Fission(spelling?), and 2 or 3 others that I'm blanking on atm.

They aren't bad for the money, I just have a hard time supporting a business who operates the way they do. I've wanted to buy an HLG for over a year, but simply can't afford it, so I've chosen to build my own. You can build a light that blows away Mars, Spider Farmer, etc for less than what theirs cost.

Good enough to veg, not flower. If you wanna flower in that size tent, go for the tsw2000. The 600 coverage are is terrible for flower coverage, unless you plan on growing 1 plant, and even then that’s stretching it.

Some will call it blasphemy but a 315 watt CMH or 600 watt HPS will cost $130 and will rock a 3 x 3 tent. There is no LED for that price that will even come close to what either of those lights will do in a 3 x 3 tent.

It’s not blasphemous, it just limits you in overall room for plant height and there’s more heat to deal with.

Actually they don't limit plant height as much LEDs do. You can get a 600 watt with a sealed hood closer to the tops of the plants giving you more height to use. And even with LEDs most people are using a fan and filter which can be routed through the sealed hood to extract heat. Also, many people grow in tents located in garages and the heat is actually a good thing. My tent stays around 75F during lights on and that's with the extraction fan turned all the way down. I run the light at night when it's cooler and also the power rates are lower as well.
