What are you using instead on vinegar for pH down ? If more nutes don’t get rid of the yellow then it’s the pH. And you have to decide if you should try higher or lower pH.

So how much pH down and water are you using exactly.

Ppm of 300 from the tap is a little high, is there any other water you could use? Maybe buy a big jug and cut some into your tap water to get the ppm closer to 150.

I'm using pH down now. I was only using vinegar because my plants were drifting to 7.8 pH +.

My ppm in the backyard hose is 240, I believe. There's nothing I can do except leave it a few days. I'm trying to collect rainwater in a 30 gallon tote. I'm currently using 9 gal between two buckets so once it does rain hard I have enough for 3 weeks of res changes. Hoping the ppm is lower on rain water. Just doing what i can for now. I see ppm charts online that say 400-500 is normal for early veg... Should be getting an EC reader next week which is more accurate...

My roots are pretty white and I'm seeing 2-3 new long ones per day now so I'm just going to ride it out and up the nutes.

Yes a ppm of 400 is good for veg. But thats 400 ppm of useable fertilizer. If you have 300ppm of minerals in your water, that only allows you to put 100ppm of nutrients to get to 400. Of course you can go higher than 400. But you won’t be be able to put too much fertilizer before the total pond are too high. Rain water will be good. It might even be acidic to save on pH down. You will have to sterilize the rain water so no pathogens from outside come in to your resevoir.

I had issues with rockwool the 1st time over watering. 2nd attempt i used a syringe to water plus only wet the bottom.to force roots out faster
