A couple noob questions..

Is this set up going to be okay?

Grow tent is 90cm x 50cm x 160cm - would that fit two small autoflowers in 5L pots? The light is 300w LED to cover both.

Also, would a 4” Incline fan w/ carbon filter do the trick for this?

Other things I have purchased before I start:
-Ph up, ph down and ph tester
-A desk oscillating fan

Anything else I need?

It would be better as a 90x90x180 for 2 plants.

90 x 50 doesn’t give you much wiggle room.

Also your LED panel. Which one is it? I don’t know much about LED’s but I know that not all LED’s are created equal.

@coreywebster will be able to help a little more on the LED front.

You’ll need some ducting to attach your fan and filter together to be able to direct it away from your growing area.

Which LED is it and is it bought already?

Do you live in a moderate climate?

With them talking about A 5L pot I’m guessing UK as we seem to be the only guys who use litres as most talk gallons. Lol.

Another thing you’ll need OP is a temp/hydrometer gauge for monitoring your temps.

You’ll also need a horticultural lighting contactor for your timer to run your lights.

I do 2 plants at a time in my 2'x2.5' tent. That tent you have should be fine for 2.

I’ve heard that, although I’m only using 5Litre pots /1.1gallon pots, so I’d maybe gent away with 2 since they will be smaller?

At least you didnt spend much on it.... If you are on the cheap, pick up an hps.
Yeah it was more to save money on electricity aswell, I’ve heard LEDS are the way to go.
Me and my girlfriend half the bills so if the weed lights start racking it up I’ll be in trouble loool

Sorry wrong link
Ah shit, normally they list the real wattage somewhere , the 300w bit is just nonsense. I cant see how powerful that is but for £18 I can be pretty sure its not going to cut the mustard, though it may be ok for starting seeds.

If you have a kilowatt meter to hand of are on a smart meter so you can somehow figure out how much power its drawing it would be helpful

It’s not the pot size but more about the plant size buddy.

Auto flowers although smaller unquestionably than photo period plants still produce plant material and occupy space.

So your tent is approx what? 3ftx1.5ftx5.5ft?

Yeah it’s doubtful you’ll be worrying about that mate it’s only about as powerful as a incandescent bulb.

If we say for ease your space is 3x2ft, 6sqaure feet. You want 50w per square foot for poor LEDs and 30w per square foot for top end LEDs.

On average your looking at costs between 3p and 6p per hour for lighting.

Ah fair - any idea what watt it’ll really be? I have no idea.
They also sell 1000w ones for like £25, so cheap but yeah unsure how good they are. I assumed watts are watts.

Yeah I assumed the plant wouldn’t grow as large if I had smaller pots.
Yeah that seems right

They are, its just a sly tactic these shitty companies use to make some thing sound good.

They will say this light has 100x 3w diodes, call it 300w but LEDs are ran really soft so they last long, could be anything from 25w to 100w but I would guess at the lower end.

Mostly they will say "this light only consumes x watts" so you have to look in the fine print. Unfortunately I couldn't see anything in that add.

The Chinese manufacturers lie by listing "equivalent watts" on their lights, trying to claim that's equal to a 1000w HID, but it's all bullshit as the others have said.

Also, I'd skip the autos in that space unless you already got the seeds. I like growing them but most auto strains actually aren't great for small spaces (with a few exceptions) because you can't decide when to flower, they just do what they want. With a couple of photos you can flip after a couple weeks, or even go 12/12 from seed to keep them small.
