Yellowing leaves on sprouts

Hi everyone!

This is my Grow Diary : https://www.rollitup.org/t/first-time-grower-northern-lights-autoflower-lumatek-zeus-600w-pro.1012448/

Im a first time grower, and I have 18 plants in 22,5L Air-pots. They are northern Lights Autoflowers.
The medium I'm using is Coco Coir & Perlite (70/30 Mix) which have been rinsed twice by myself, and then buffered for 12h in a 150% CalMag dose at 6.0ph before going into the pot.

The pots were then left to sit for 3 days (during germination), before the seeds were transplanted in to their pots.

I'm running Lumatek Zeus 600w Pro (2 lights) at 25% for the first 3 days of life and lights are on for 24h.
RH is around 60-70% and Temps are between 22-24 degrees C. Lights are at 60cm from the canopy.

Today was their first 6h of darkness, because I switched to 18/6 light cycle, however when I opened my tent this morning (Day 4) I saw 3 girls showing some yellow leaves. 2 were showing it in the bottom leaves (what I think is not bad) but 1 was showing it in her new leaves, while on day 3 she didnt have any signs of yellowing on those leaves.

I did not give any water since the seeds are in their pots. Since the medium was still moist from the buffering.

Any idea whats going on? Or am I being to scared and nothing is really wrong?

So even at seedling stage (1-4 days old) they need to be watered every day? Sorry I'm a new grower.
Directly the heads are up, you need to feed and water coco every day (1/4 nutes).
Some people do it 2-3x a day.
I do admit to occasionally missing a day cos I'm a bit lazy.
But I'm feeding and watering at least 5x a week.

If you haven't done it for 3 or 4 days, that'll most likely be why the seedlings are failing.
All the other nonsense, buffering, soaking, loading totally unnecessary IMHO.
I've never done any of that and my plants are all fine.

And when u water, are u misting them? or Are u really adding water to the coco? Can u give an idea of how much water u give every watering?

Just as @sarahJane211 mentioned, you'll need to feed your coco girls daily. What may cause you a problem to start with is managing to do this, when you have seedlings in 22.5 Liter pots (6 gallons). I would have started my babies in solo cups and saved these mammoth pots for something else. Don't be fooled, you can easily grow a 5' plant in a 2 gallon pot, using coco as your medium, all day long...and by doing so it makes managing your feeds and humidity much easier. Good luck friend.

No misting, water + nutes until it runs through the bottom of the pot.
In my small 6" clone/seedling plastic pots that's about half a cup.
In my 5 gallon fabric pots it's more like 3 litres.

As CannaCountry suggests, start in small pots, work your way up.
These are my current small plants, and my biggest plant 10 sq ft in a 5 gallon pot.
All in coco + perlite.

Thnx for the info. I've allways learned from youtube vids and articles, and all of them said, with autoflowers, the bigger the pot the better for higher yields. So thats bs?

So next run u suggest me to start them in solo cups, and then transplant them into these bigger (6 gallon) pots?

Wow, this is the first time I hear about this. I mean I know u should water till run-off, but never knew u had to do it since day 1. Because it seems ur oversatturating the medium, and the plant cannot uptake this much water/nutes anyway at this stage? Thnx for the advice

If you're running autos, your logic is correct, but the 6 gallon pots are still over kill. And your concern of over saturating a pot, is why you don't put such little plants into such large pots to start with...so this doesn't become such a concern. There's a bit of a balancing act, but never the less, don't stop what you're doing. Just make notes, do your research, experiment and have fun. What doesn't work for one person may work for you or vice versa. Good luck

However I still need an answer to my question...Is this a deficiency forming, or is the picture normal? Because we've only been talking about watering the plant :)

They are way too small to try and determine deficiencies. In fact if they were mine, I'd simply feed them and let them go. Even if they are deficient, which they aren't (they're too damn small to be deficient in anything), there isn't much you can do. Just be patient and let them grow up a little before you worry to much over them. Good luck.
