Can we please stop debating this. Do as you do. If you’re on point with nutrients and have experience don’t flush.

if you’re a dummy like me who messes up the nutrients then I would use plain water the last few days minimum.

Would you do plain water for the last few days for soil? Or do you feed nutrients to chop?

I don’t run any extra water through other than a normal watering for the last few waters. About a week. Would you consider that flushing?
I only top dress my plants with dry organic "bloom or flower" fertilizer at the beginning and middle of flower. If giving bottled nutrients, yes i would stop a week or two before harvest. Those bottles are all just snake oil though. I spent about 7$ on the fertilizer used on this grow and its the best amateur indoor ive ever seen/smoked in my life. 1.2 grams per watt.

Do you ph your water through your grow? This is exactly what I’m trying to do but I’m struggling with the transition of when to top dress and how much.

Yes I ph every time i water.

This guy is kind of a goon but he is a good grower and he only top dresses. He grows in coco so its a bit different but when it comes to top dressing for the flower cycle, everything is the same as with dirt.

If I ph my water from seed my hot soil burns my seedlings. I’m trying to figure out at what point do I start to ph my water? The soil nutrients are depleted by 20 days or so for me. Do I top dress a few days ahead of that 20?

the stuff he uses in that video is from Canada. I would love to use dry nutrients but I haven’t had success yet. I always end up using GH liquid nutrients.

Typical cool soil should be plenty to get a plant started in a solo cup and then repot into hotter soil....

Im not sure you understand what ph'ing your water is..... What exactly are you doing to it?

Well right now I’m still doing autos. So I’m planting in final container which is organic soil. When I use plain tap it works fine. If I ph it kills the seedlings. It’s happened to a few. Once I went through notes and realized it started when I switched to ph water. I switched back. No more problems.

I’m using ph down to being the ph to 6.5-6.0 with my ph pen. Was that a real question?

Yes, correct ph should not cause problems...... Is your ph pen way the fuck off?

My tap water ph is like 9. When I bring it down to range it kills my seedlings. When it’s plain tap it’s fine. So I just use plain tap for the first 20 days. Then ph everything from there when I add nutrients for the first time.

That doesnt make sense to me man. I start seeds with ph 7 or lower and never have issue.

In hot soil?
You shouldnt be starting seeds in hot soil. Even when i do autos i plant directly in a hot mix in the final pot but i dig out a solo cup size hole and fill it with cool dirt and start the seed in that. Its not rocket surgery. Start seeds in seed starting dirt.
