BarberBen’s shelter-in-place grow

All have taken well to the transplant! The one Darkstar purple urkle that germinated has now sprouted with a little assistance. Had to pull its helmet off. It is a pretty tiny sprout but it was a very tiny seed. Purple panty dropper getminated and is going be planted in a 3 gallon and then probably transplanted into 15 gallon outdoors. Just going to run it outdoors the whole time and see how it does. Temps and humidity have been consistent and I have not watered since the transplant but I don’t think they need it yet. Everything is coming along nicely. Added a the 1200 watt led for light coverage because it only draws 1/10th of what it says but figured it can’t hurt. First seed germed on the 23rd of March for reference.

Everything seems to be going well. Temps have been consistent. I’m trying to dial in the light height to keep the heat up enough that the exhaust fan stays on low all the time. I think I got it. Fed the biggest plants last night at 1/4 strength. The node spacing is good and the first Pinapples and Bc gold are getting that bushy look.

Pineapples are coming along nicely and was thinking about topping one or both of them.
Bc Gold somehow grew to the side instead of straight up so I’m rolling with it and doing a little lst on it. Bent the top over to get more light to the lower branches and get multiple tips outs of it.

One G13 skunk is an obvious different pheno that the others. Long, gangly leaves since the first set and now they seem to be twisting and a tad deformed. Going to let it ride out for a bit more but might just end up chucking it as I am not looking to tall and thin plants.

Edit: Bent the BC gold a little too aggressively and ended up topping it! Pretty clean break. A little bummed but I was probably going to do it anyway, this just broke the ice.

Somehow my temp control got pushed up all the way to 95 degrees last night so the plants got way too hot last night. Only one plant, a Facewreck, showed any sign of stress with dropping leaves that were curling up. Corrected that as soon as I saw it and everything is all good now. Bc Gold that got accidentally topped has responded well.

Picking up another tent tomorrow for clones and a veg room. Bit off more than I would like to chew in the beginning of all this so once they start to show sex, some will be gifted to family and friends (after taking clones), some will be thrown into flower in the tent, and the other tent will be to continue vegging with the clones and some plants that will go outdoors in May.
The deformed G13 skunk may still get tossed.

hey you may want to avoid that bag seed you found. it may herm out. im new to this as well, started shortly before the quarantine...but i found a seed in some dispensary lava dawg (which i loved) and was gonna start it but was warned against it. wouldn’t want your girls catching any pollen.

other than that im excited to follow along with a fellow first time grower during a global pandemic. check out my journal if you’re interested.

Hope everyone is doing well!
Have my second tent up. It is a 2x4. Have a 6 inch fan in there on low. Temps in both rooms are at 79 when the lights are on and about 70 when off. I moved all the smaller plants in there with the exception of the g13 skunk runt that is rather pathetic. Still don’t know what to do with that. The 2x4 has a 400 watt MH hanging vertically because couldn’t fit a hood and the fan in there. It also has an Aeroponics bucket cloner I made the other day which turned out better than expected.
I topped all the other bigger plants and all seem fine with it. Took a few of the tops and made clones of them. Not the best cuttings for clones but the bottoms are all 3/4 of an inch under the neoprene collars so we will see. They were kind of droopy in the cloner yesterday but were standing straight up this morning.

Everyone got a feeding tonight. Buddha grow and Earth Juice Catalyst. The earth juice was available at the department store I went to today so I picked it up. The Wallyducks loved the topping. My oldest, accidentally topped BcGold, has a tiny ball with tinier stem sticking out where preflowers would show. No others showing sex. Here are some shots of the bigger ones out for watering:

Bc Gold #1, the first plant to sprout and the first to get topped showed what I think are very obvious signs of being a male so I yanked him out. There is another suspected Facewreck male and it appears both bigger Pinapples are female but we will have to wait and see.

Update: A lot has happened since I last updated. Been feeding more and more and now a I am up to a full feed and every plant is growing vigorously. I put 2 pineapples and a Facewreck into bloom indoors and cloned them. One other Facewreck was male so I killed it and took a clone in case I wanted to make some seed. The cloner I made is working wonders with my first clones showing great roots in 7 days. One pinapple in veg as week and did not look as vigorous as the others so I removed it. I have a Bc gold and g13 skunk that have been outdoors for a week and are thriving and temps are supposed to be up this week. I will post a better update in a couple days.
