Sorry, I deleted my post because i gave you wrong info. I thought the driver was a constant current driver and it is not.2x4ish late veg, 24" tall plants

And how many watts would you like tu run ?2x4ish late veg, 24" tall plants
Right my bad. My driver and boards both get quite warm. Have a fan on both of them. I personally wouldn’t be comfortable trying to push much more out of them but I don’t know really. Maybe it’s safe. I’m not sure. I like the rig. That 320 alone isn't even able to get the Max wattage from a qb96. Their absolute Max is 6amps for 360watts.
i doubt i need to max them out for veg plants....probably 200 at the most. that's why i was thinking that 240-H driver might be a good choice, for budget's sake without sacrificing IP rating. I'm running some qb132's on a 240-M and it works out great. And how many watts would you like tu run ?
For that space I would use a maximum of 200 watts. I recommend the following driver for that space2x4ish late veg, 24" tall plants
why the HLG-240-C1750? isn't that (1750mA) well below the rated mA of the qb96's?For that space I would use a maximum of 200 watts. I recommend the following driver for that space
HLG-240H-C1750
Because it gives you the right wattage for the space you have. You could of course run them much stronger but i doubt it would be beneficial in veg.why the HLG-240-C1750? isn't that (1750mA) well below the rated mA of the qb96's?
I was thinking the XLG-240-H would be a good fit, with output current from 2200-6660mA?
N/m i just realized, they won't pull more current than that at 200w. I get it!Because it gives you the right wattage for the space you have. You could of course run them much stronger but i doubt it would be beneficial in veg
I have 4 qb132 on a meanwell lrs350-36 and am pushing them about 77 watts each I like it a loti doubt i need to max them out for veg plants....probably 200 at the most. that's why i was thinking that 240-H driver might be a good choice, for budget's sake without sacrificing IP rating. edit: if it's prudent to buy a larger driver I would consider it
You also get higher efficiency running them so low.N/m i just realized, they won't pull more current than that at 200w. I get it!
I use a phone app. I doubt it gives me the real number but at least i can check that my light distribution is good.Any of you guys use lux meter? I have like 38 in the corners 50,000 lux in the middle with all my lights on. About 20-30,000 with the 96s off. (Thinking veg without 96s, flower with them) is 4 qb96 cranked up about 77-80 watts each and a HLG100 in the middle of a 4x4 enough for veg, then add the 2 96s at about 150 watts each. Is that enough for a high yielding run?
I have 8 qb 132 each set of 4 in a 320h c2100a. Thanks to Tbone. Is he on rollitup ? I only see him in grasscity.I have 4 qb132 on a meanwell lrs350-36 and am pushing them about 77 watts each I like it a lot
Damn I was wanting to get 4 more mself and male staggered rows of twos or maybe do 4 and 4 For the outer edges and have 2 qb96 in the middle. I don’t know. Like these lights a lot. Yes he is definitely a good guy. Right know i am working on adding rapidled uv solderless leds to my qb132. i want to do something like this, inspired in Tbone.Damn I was wanting to get 4 more mself and male staggered rows of twos or maybe do 4 and 4 For the outer edges and have 2 qb96 in the middle. Tbone only on grasscity I think. He helped me set all my lights up. Good guy
First time I've seen someone put additional diodes on a QB.Yes he is definitely a good guy. Right know i am working on adding rapidled uv solderless leds to my qb132. i want to do something like this, inspired in Tbone.

I keep my qb 132 at about 20 to 24 inches in flowering. My yield was really good and i feel i get better light distribution that way. So i would not bring them much closer.Lights are 30” from canopy. Is that too far away? Feel like if I go much closer I won’t get any spread but I don’t know. Thanks for any help.

Tbone did that. He is the guru of quantum boards in grasscity. I only plan to add 1 or 2 uv leds per board. For a total of 35 watts of uv in my 4x4 tent.First time I've seen someone put additional diodes on a QB.
So with your XLG-240-M, Did you manually adjust the current to where you wanted it using a multimeter with pos on pos and neg on neg? Or did you just wire it up and were happy with the brightness?i doubt i need to max them out for veg plants....probably 200 at the most. that's why i was thinking that 240-H driver might be a good choice, for budget's sake without sacrificing IP rating.
