Change Ph with ph down/up

How would I change the PH of my plant with PH UP and Down?
How much of it do I put in water?

Once I put the PH up/down mixed water in the plant has the PH changed to the PH of the water or do I need to do it a couple times?

In addition to having pH u/D you need a pH meter to read it, or pH strips which I find too broad at least when doing hydro

No , the ph of your soil will not change from a lil up or down. hydro is another ballgame.

Assuming you have a ph tester of some type ,it will depend on your initial ph of water whether its tap or what not. Also how much water your trying to range. My tap water is typically alkaline in the high 7s low 8s. For a gallon i need between 12- 15 drops of down to get to 6.5. Ph up you'll need less. You should ph all water including feeds. As stated amounts and methods vary in diff methods and mediums

Are you in dirt , soil or hydro ? That makes a HUGE difference.
You can change the ph of your medium very easy in hydro.... changing the ph of soil is not going to happen with ph up or down.

You dont. You start with a good soil and treat it right.
Ph up and down will only chage the ph of the water going in ....it will not change the soil itself. Your mix should have lime or oysrer shells in it to act as a buffer to counteract the acidic peat moss base that most mixes come with. The only real way to change soil ph over a period of time is buffers like lime. You cannot change the ph in a small pot in short amount of time.
If your a beginner then steer clear from the whole ph subject unless your growing in water.

I’m growing one in miracle grow and another in standard potting soil. It’s not ideal but it’s all I could find in the UK during lockdown.

what kind of miracle grow? most MG mixes are good for weed but some "people" dont like the slow release food they use. The regular potting soil is probably going to be heavy an need some kind of aeration , like perlite , sand ect....

Thanks for the reply. It’s Miracle Grow Potting soil, I’ve attached a picture of the other soil.
I have no idea where to start when putting stuff in the soil that’s not water lol

that soil looks good to me. i would use it as is.
