I'm not even going to go through the entire heatsink with the M5. I think the spacing of the fins will give me enough room to just tap the fins. If they are spaced too far apart then I will drill all the way through, thread the base, and then grind it flat before mounting the strips to the heatsinks with the thermal tape. Here's a very ugly and quickly tossed together example of how I'm hoping to be able thread and screw the set screws into place.
I do not see an DC amperage output spec. . @ 48V and a 240 watt max that should be like 5 amps total for that driver.Would this driver be ok? I have some strips im juat tryimg to get another driver. I have a HLG-240H-48AB Just want another.

Actually that could work really well, very nice idea man. I drilled right though the ends of my sinks and fastened them to the extrusion from the bottom which ultimately required me to place the hangers on the outer edges of the lamp, making it a tad unstable while hung. Nothing unmanageable but I like your approach much better and I look forward to seeing it completed.

Depends on what you are running for the strips, I prefer to run the strips at 1 amp each, so 5 double row f-series would get 1 amp each.
yes any 48v driver will work. i wouldnt run the boards lower then .3 amp per, ive been playing around with the calculator alot, and that seems to be the almost maximum lm/w you can milk out of them
