I'm not even going to go through the entire heatsink with the M5. I think the spacing of the fins will give me enough room to just tap the fins. If they are spaced too far apart then I will drill all the way through, thread the base, and then grind it flat before mounting the strips to the heatsinks with the thermal tape. Here's a very ugly and quickly tossed together example of how I'm hoping to be able thread and screw the set screws into place.So are you using heatsinks wider than the strips or do you plan on going through the strip itself with the m5?
